Alright, after my 4th time here, I can say that the service definitely is consistently poor. Whether they're busy or an average mid week lunch, getting your servers' attention is near impossible - it's like they're wearing blinders. On this unfortunate visit, I walked in after a large group, but obviously not with them as they were there before I came in. The front desk girl looked at me and then immediately looked away. I thought she was working to seat the first group, so I stood there. Not until 5 mins later, when another guest came in, did she ask the guest how she could help, and the lady said I was there before here. Without skipping a beat, I told her table for one. The restaurant wasn't full, but it was a Sunday. Not even an option, "Can you sit at the bar? Hands me a menu, its self-serve." And goes back to the other lady... wow... fast forward a bit, got my food, at least it's always decent here (it's saving grace). Want a coffee/drink refill? Good luck. My mug sat empty for at least 10 minutes and was only asked if I wanted more coffee when the guy next to me was ordering his food. Waiting for service and getting poor service seems to be a reoccurring theme here. Is the abuse worth a slight above mid meal? You decide for yourself, but I'm not coming back. Side note, if you're here with friends, expect a loud atmosphere, so conversations need to also be on the louder side to even be able to hear each other. Food timing is also hit or miss depending on how busy they are. A shame, really, especially when you're spending $30-40+/person for breakfast, you should at least be able to have a good meal where they appreciate...

Read moreOver rated, dangerous to rely on reputation, particularly on service. This is Kirkland, and we expect WA State friendly service, so hoping they can raise the bar higher vs resting on their 40 yr reputation.
Service. Table for 5, please. They had us waiting for 20 minutes while we had 4/5 of our party. Understandable if the place had been packed, but... they had 8 tables that could have been good for us. Finally, after I pushed a bit more, they sat us down, and with a really bad attitude by the greeter: we could barely hear her when she told us to follow her. Greeters are such an important part of the experience, we started with the wrong foot here.
Once seated, the service from our waiter was better. He was attentive and patient. Need to empower the greeters to know when it is OK to sit a party even if not everyone is there, based on occupancy vs a broad policy of everyone has to be here (and place was half empty). I was ready to walk out, so pls be mindful and help your employees make the right decisions.
Food. Decent California bennedict. Avocado and bacon were nicely balanced. Eggs were poached right. Strawberry Belgian waffles were soft and nicely paired with maple syrup, fresh strawberries. Half fetta and spinach Omellete was light, fresh ingredients, thin egg layer ( which we like but other reviewers disagree).
Drinks. Their regular coffee is better than on other places. Orange juice, while not...
