10 orders were placed and every single one was either incorrect and/or cold, with the exception of two tenders and fries meals. The grill was not cleaned properly by Carlos, the cook, which left a distinct burnt grill taste on nearly everything. Personally, my Grand Slam was incorrect, lukewarm, and inedible for me, due to the strong grill taste. The service by Karen was lackluster at best. Upon arrival, Karen advised us to be patient because she only gets about "2 to 3 customers a night" and now we know why. Patience doesn't fix the fact that she wrote everything down and still got nearly everything wrong. When asked later about why so many of the orders were wrong, Karen's response was "I know what I wrote, I can't control what happens in the back" as if we, being the customers, have more control over what is prepared...no apology or personal accountability whatsoever. My wife asked for napkins, which were not provided, and reminded Karen about a requested cup of ice, only to be told she was nagging as the first set of incorrect orders were brought out. Additionally, Karen removed some of the cheese from one of the incorrect sandwiches with her ungloved hand and even told us "I pulled yo cheese off myself" after initially attempting to present it as a "remade" sandwich. When advised about the first Grand Slam order being incorrect, Karen ended the conversation by yelling "Bye" to my wife, walking to the kitchen area, and shouting to Carlos "I don't have time for this, we don't need the business." Noting every incorrect meal and point of poor service would result in this review becoming an e-book; however, in short, Carolanne, presumably the manager, was not present and had to be called via cell by Karen when we refused to pay for the majority of the meals, which remained on the tables. We arrived at approximately 12:40am, did not get drinks until approximately 1:25am, did not begin receiving food until approximately 2:10am and did not leave until approximately 2:45am, which includes the 20 minutes itemizing with Karen the orders that would be paid for and the ones that would not. My job is highly reliant on customer service, so I try to maintain a great deal of patience and understanding as it relates to mix-ups and uncontrollable circumstances, but this was something else. Please avoid this location if possible, and if it seems like something is off when you arrive, go with your gut because your experience will most likely get worse. Hopefully something can be done to improve the quality of the food and service at the Denny's, located at, 4783 W Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy, Kissimmee, FL 34746. I am inputting the address to ensure this review does not get mixed up with...
Read moreWe were in town for the weekend and decided to try this Denny's because it was right up the street from the motel where we were staying.
The food was decent - standard Denny's fare, but everything else went horribly. We were there on a Sunday morning, and as a few others said, the place was PACKED (between just getting in, seated, ordering and having to scarf down our food (we were now running late for an event) we were there nearly three hours). The staff were NOT prepared for a crowd so large, despite other reviewers stating that the place is always packed Sunday mornings.
First, when we arrived, everyone had to get their name and #of people in their party on a list.... And wait (and wait) to be seated. Mine was a party of two, so to see probably 6 or 7 free booths, bussed and ready to go, but yet no one (at all (not even small parties in front of us)) was being seated? The poor host looked like a deer in the headlights.
Finally got seated, figured out what we wanted and waited another 10 mins just to put in a drink order, then another 5 to put in our food (may have been more but we flagged someone down)..... Waited probably almost an hour to get the food and when it arrived, not everything was there. Waited almost 10 more minutes just to be able to flag someone down about the rest of the food (pancakes and toast) and to get a refill on the drinks.
Finished our food and waited some more for the check. Waiter stopped by and asked if we were ready for it (in passing... He didn't stop at the table), then disappeared for 15 minutes. The table next to us never received some of their food even as they finished eating, and they had small children who were getting quite upset because they were hungry and having to wait an hour for food.
All in all - the food was decent, but they did NOT handle being busy well. Don't go here on a Sunday morning if you value your...
Read moreI don’t leave bad reviews ever but I really feel that something needs to be said. When we first got here my friend and I were trying to maintain social distancing while waiting in line to get sat. A group of three must not have understood that and walked right in to the host stand, also passing a couple and their baby who where in front of us. The host grabbed menus and went to seat them immediately. Before he went to lead them to their booth me and my friend went to that host to tell him that he was skipping two other parties, to which we were told that we would have to wait and started putting the people who got skipped on a waiting list. Ok cool. Then what happened next was not cool. The host that messed up got sent off to bus leaving one girl at the front to do checkouts and handle the waiting list. Although she was inadequate for the job. Yes, she was doing two jobs, but instead of staring off into space she could have been taking names for the growing line of people trying to get onto the wait list. My friend got irritated and told her that she can’t just keep ignoring these people, even though we were already on the list, to which the hostess asked if she wanted to try to do her job better. We have both worked in the service industry for 10yrs now starting as hosts and have worked our way up and I can assure you that We could host at Denny’s a lot better than her. She is an embarrassment especially when she tried telling the other guests in line that we don’t know how the...
