Marcos Pizza is the best pizza in Florida speaking as a recent transplant from New England. That said, this location is very inconsistent. I have prior to today ordered from this location very often. My order of choice is consistent more often than not but the product is different every third time. Either more or less of a topping, under or over cooked or the toppings are inconsistently distributed to the point that there is no cheese or toppings on one fifth of the pizza.
None of this is why I am finally complaining or taking my business to a new location. Up until now I have simply accepted that this is what happens from time to time. I have 7 years in the restaurant industry and 22 years in the service industry so I do not complain lightly.
Today I pulled up to the drive up take put window (a very convenient option) and gave my name to pick up my pizza. I drove home and found that I was given the wrong pizza (same first name). I next spent 20 minutes on hold waiting to tell somebody of the situation. Finally I drove back to the location with the incorrect pizza. The person behind the counter how I believe was in charge told me their phones had been down for 30 minutes and that he had already remade the pizza I brought back. He then took the pizza from me and informed me he would be giving it to his staff to eat and handed me my now 30 minute old Luke warm pizza. When I complained that I should be compensated in some way I was told that I should have double checked my pizza (in my car in a drive through pickup window). There was no room for discussion further as it was made clear that it was my fault that I was given the wrong pizza and now I had my pizza (30 minutes old version). Additionally, during a global pandemic, I don’t know if my pizza was handed to another person in their car and given back as incorrect since I already had picked theirs up.
Through all of the inconsistencies with the cooking I have been silent but this ridiculous service with no regard to a very consistent customer is unacceptable to me. I should have been compensated for something, either for receiving a pizza that was no longer fresh or for the 60 minutes of travel time I spent between two...
Read moreGetting fed up with this place! Was so much better when it first opened - now..... THEY DONT CARE!.... Every time we order (and we've ordered a lot) there's an issue. The biggest problem they have is adding the garlic dipping sauce... WHY???? They want to charge 50c and we always have at least two yet they forget either both or at least one EVERY time!!! It's only 50c one time..., but every time!!! It soon adds up.
Today when it happened AGAIN I decided to call... First time got a "hello yes" - I asked for a manager... they hung up! 2nd time, left me on hold... 3rd time asked for manager and he said I am... Manager Rou!... I told him we were missing our sauce AGAIN and did they not care about customer service anymore?.. his answer... I did the sauces today and I remember I put them in!... So basically saying I'm lying.... I had the delivery guy wait while I opened to check and he saw there was no sauce (which he said sorry they told me not to worry it's in there's I only started a week ago)... when I told the manager to ask the delivery driver he said ok, well I can have someone bring you sauce... So I said sure do it!.. He said well it will be about 30 minutes!!!! We live 2 miles from the place!....
Also had next to no toppings, time before now had slices with base to tomato sauce and some didn't...
Ask for contactless delivery - they still knock the door and wait fro you to answer and insist on you signing their phone...
Mistakes happen, and is what it is, but it's how you handle the mistakes and whether you learn from them that matters... Marcos on Osceola Polk line doesn't care about either!... Time to find a new...
Read moreOrdered from here for the first time tonight and I don't think I'll be ordering here again.
To start one of the pizza's I ordered was their pepperoni magnifico. I am a huge pepperoni fan and a pizza places peperoni is usually a make or break for me. When I got my pepperoni magnifico that I ordered with extra pepperoni even though its supposed to have a ton already I could not visibly see any. I was told it was under the other toppings and cheese. When I got home I searched and searched and picked the thing apart and I think I found maybe 4 SMALL pieces of a pepperoni on the entire pizza. I got a "pepperoni magnifico" without pepperoni....
The sauce on both pizzas was very think even though I stated I wanted light sauce. I'll add it was not very good either. The cheese was very rubbery and seems to be a cheap off brand 5-cheese blend. The crust is extra thicc with 2 c's and taste what I imagine a cardboard box taste like. Most of the toppings on the pepperoni magnifico were all clumped in the center very few more then 2ins from the center. Both were cut so shallow i could not pull the pieces apart until I recut it myself.
The pizza was all around bad did not impress in any area. The cheesy bread was below average as well and was about 95% bread and 5% cheesy, same cheep cheese as the pizza but even less. As bad as I talked about it I'd still give 2 stars cause I've actually had worse but not many. Also their wings were decent but not enough to go here...
