The food was good. What I had a problem with is whoever the young man who was working Saturday night answering the phone was rude and less than willing to be of assistance. I asked him what salad dressing comes on the house salad bc the online menu didn't say. He responds "I don't know" I asked again "the house salad on the menu, I'm just trying to find out the dressing" Again he responds "I DONT know' with more attitude. I then had to ask "Well who does?" In 2 seconds I hear him ask someone standing right next to him and that lady was immediately able to say what the dressing is. So his issue was clearly he didn't want to ask or find out the most BASIC thing on ANY menu - the house salad. I don't mind young employees not knowing every detail, but the clear unwillingness to provide the most basic customer service and the attitude along with it insures we won't be back. As the owners of this restaurant I hope you'll either find someone competent or train...
Read moreWe were in the OBX recently, staying in Kitty Hawk, and literally stumbled upon this place after we were walking on the beach and heading back to our rental. So very happy we found this little gem of a restaurant. First off, it's small - I think they only had about 7 tables inside. But their food was delicious. We tried their Kapow, as well as one of their curry dishes, and both were fantastic. Fresh, flavorful and well prepared. Whoever is in the kitchen cooking knows what they are doing. Cannot compliment the chef enough. Service was also very good - young lady took good care of us, checking on us and bringing refills (water, wine, etc...) as requested. She also brought us an assortment of 3 ways to spice up your food (ground Thai chili peppers, chili paste, and one other one), in case the food coming out of the kitchen needed a little extra kick to it. Great little place. Will definitely remember them for future...
Read moreReally do wish to give a NEGATIVE rating. NEVER would like to recommend this place. I don't think they understand what Thai food is about. Plus the ingredients they are using are suspicious. If you are down for nothing but bland dismal food experience, you found the right place. Here are the break-downs for you:
Pad Thai - It has so much orange color oil. What you are going to taste is not rice noodles, but this weird greasy liquid dripping between noodles
Thai Style Pepper Steak - I have a good idea what this is. All you get is so much mulky gravy without steak taste with a mixture of awfully cut vegetables
Kao Pad Fried Rice - This is a disaster. Just get a white rice and you stir it on your plate
Pork with Broccoli - Why you bother with trying out a different meat here? They have all the same tastes with again awful questionable gravy.
