I will begin by saying that this was an absolutely brilliant dining experience. The food was phenomenal, the service and general hospitality was top notch and the atmosphere was laid back and casual. I'm quite shocked by a lot of these reviews, mainly the ones that are complaining about the price. Please tell me where in Knoxville, or really most metropolitan areas, that you can get all you can eat Raw oysters, two different kinds of mussels, crab legs, smoked salmon, a variety of cold salads and the best Clam chowder this side of the Mason Dixon line for under $50 a person??? BUT WAIT!!!! Also included in that price are at least three different kinds of cooked fish, a chicken option, prime rib cooked to perfection (with or without a savory aus jus, raw horseradish or horseradish sauce), a fresh pasta station and a variety of desserts, which are also all you can eat (if you're simply greedy) and a beverage as well??? The answer is nowhere. Quit showing how utterly cheap you are while giving your review. The service was incredible. Everyone worked as a team, our server, Gavin, was incredible on his knowledge and attentiveness without being annoying and everyone we came in concert with that worked here was incredibly friendly without being fake. Also, the buffet was constantly being refreshed the entire time we were there. Kudos to the back of the house. The seafood buffet, all though estranged from the menu after the pandemic is a Knoxville staple and has been for decades. When I did standup in the 90s I would stay at The Radison, which is now Crown Plaza, just for the seafood buffet alone. It was $35 then (30+ years ago) and didn't have as many options as it currently does now. Not to mention, it's way better now. Again, stop complaining about the price. Set in an incredibly nice hotel, with a lounge on the first floor, Mahogany's is a flight of stairs above with natural light from the high windows, with a decent, but obstructed view of downtown Knoxville and a semi quiet tone to the restaurant in general. Reservations are highly recommended. In closing, outside of the house white wine, everything was pure perfection and will be a regular monthly destination for me and my wife. I highly recommend this establishment.

This place has really gone down in the past few months. Last time I was there, I found a hair in my green beans. I brought it to my waiters attention and she said nothing. I told the host about it and he said he was sorry and would take 20% off my bill. Really?? I then went to the manager and received another apology and a refund on my bill, which is what should have happened in the first place.

Went last Friday. To my amazement, crab legs were no longer available on the seafood buffet. Of course they did not mention that, until I asked. I was told I could buy some if I wanted to. I knew something was going on as the place was less than half full and one side was completely closed. It is usually very busy. I spoke to one waitress about it and she said that it had really hurt their business not having the crab legs.

I had 2 Sweet Deal gift certificates for $50.00 each I was going to pay my bill with as I have always done. The bill was 82.00, so I gave the waiter the $100.00 in gift certificates and he returned no change. I asked about why no change and he asked another waiter and she came over and said they would give me the $18.00 change this time, but that they would not do it in the future. I said I always have used these Sweet Deal certificates and they said they no longer do that either.

Not worth the value for a few steamed shrimp, a slice of overdone prime rib, and some soggy fish.

This used to be a nice place for a seafood buffet on a Friday night. It is still advertised as the Finest Surf and Turf buffet. NOT Used to be able to park free in the hotel to eat, but I had to pay to get out of the lot. Again, not...

Complaining about the food is one thing, complaining about the service on Easter Sunday is another. That 40 minute wait time should of been expected, actually it should of been unexpected you should of expected to wait a lot longer regardless of it being "just for a check". 5/5 to balance out the undeserving 1/5 stars from that guy. Why mention what your son did eat yet not bother to list what was offered, kids are picky and brunch on Easter Sunday isn't exactly chicken fingers and grilled cheeses. Your review isn't so much a review doesn't seem fair whine, whining you sir are whining. Ps. Regardless of what you ate and how little it was you did occupy a table which could and would I can assume of been filled by another customer and restaurants value is based on tables+time+turnover, it's also in a servers best interest to get you in and out as fast as possible that maximizes his/her income. It is a buffet perhaps the server didn't want your family feeling rushed and was actually trying to be considerate. I'd recommend asking to view the buffet BEFORE actually sitting down at a table that way you'll know 1. What your kid will eat, 2. What your options are, 3. If the price is reasonable.. If you notice any hesitation then you probably don't want...
