Made a reservation for 4 on Saturday night. Was seated at a nice booth by the window (the booth fabric had a few stains but whatever) which was great. Server came by and filled up our water glasses and then we noticed one of the glasses had a sizable crack. When she came by again we asked for another glass and ordered our alcoholic drinks (they were “out” of the drink one of my friends really wanted to try). It took 10-15 minutes to get our drinks, and when the server brought them over, we asked again for an unbroken water glass. Another 10-15 minutes went by and the server came back to take our food order. We ordered 4 small plates to start. We also had to ask again for a water glass because they still had not brought a new one. When our food started coming out, we got 2 of the 4 small plates and then an order of gyoza which we’d not ordered. The server came by a few minutes later(finally got a water glass) where we pointed out the incorrect gyoza. They just sort of shrugged and took it away. Then, a different server came with some more small plates, and tried to drop off an app we’d already received. We got our other 2 apps. The food was really yummy honestly! I’m sad because everything took so long and my partner and I could not order entrees as we ran out of time and had to get to a soccer game. We enjoyed the apps we were able to have and our drinks were good. The server mentioned that they were understaffed, but they also just didn’t really seem to care about our overall experience. We plan to go back in a couple months and hopefully I can update this review to a more positive one! There was also a man fully asleep in a booth, and no one really seemed...
Read moreI like to be patient and understanding because I understand things breakdown at times. Sad to report it was one issue after the next. We had a reservation for 6:15pm and it took 50 mins for someone to take our order. Several different servers waited collectively on tables on either side of us, my drink came out incorrectly and was never refilled, still I tried to patient because a drink isn’t the end of the world. It was only supposed to a sweet tea. Food came out another 45 mins later and sadly wasn’t good. We ate a few bites but decided to leave disappointed. The only time the server spent time at our table was when he brought the bill, which was also incorrect and had to be refunded and recharged. He lingered there talking about how poor the communication of the place was, making excuses rather than an apology to us, which we didn’t get. Overall a very poor experience. If the food had been better I’d be happy to return because I understand hiccups happen however it was just too many issues to...
Read moreI went to Nama’s sub-branch last night and was disappointed. The atmosphere was good but the food came out pretty bland and weirdly undercooked on some things and over sauced on other things. For appetizers we got the gyozas, and those are kind of alright but still mushy on the inside; definitely not handmade. Costco’s dumplings are definitely better. The okinomiyaki pancake was the same texture inside as well, but way too much sauce on top. My wife got the yakisoba and she said it the sauce was bland and the noodles had some burnt bits in it. I’m not sure if the pan got washed before cooking her order. I got the grilled salmon and that came out pretty good. The server was really nice but the food isn’t worth the trip back. We didn’t try the drinks since they were on the...
