Our experience going to Qdoba the first time ever was okay. I thought the quality of food was leaps and bounds above chipotle. The service was mediocre.
The second time we went, we were met with a lady that ignored us for a full half a minute to check her phone, during a rush. When she spoke, I could hardly hear her over the deafening radio, as I am half deaf already. It was raining, so I figured I'd just ride it out since I was already there.
She shoved my burrito to the side and said, gesturing to a young teenage girl, "she will take care of the rest of your order," before stomping off. The girl vigorously shook her head "no," basically begging to not take my order. I was not rude, I asked for the toppings prior to this with pleases and thank you's despite my inability to hear.
The girl mumbled and I had to gently ask her to repeat herself several times, (I feel awful I have to do this), and she was appearing on the verge of tears, so I finished my order without the condiments I'd have preferred, and the ones I did get being skimped or ignored.
At the register, I had to ask for queso three times to a different employee, who acknowledged that I'd asked every time, but didn't bother to call down the line for it,despite charging me. On the third attempt, she basically screamed for the queso, and threw it into the bag haphazardly with a loud, annoyed sigh.
I reminded her that I'd ordered a lime jaritos, and she shoved a pineapple one in my face. I gently corrected her and she said sorry and handed me a lime one. I said thank you and left.
This happened a few weeks ago but it has stayed on my mind. Avoid this location.
Adding an edit: I have and still do work in the food/service industry, and have worked at chipotle in the past. As difficult as these jobs are, this was...
Read moreMy friend Tony invited me to have lunch at the new Qdoba restaurant with his family and him after the church worship service on Sunday morning, which is typically a busy time for most restaurants in Kokomo. I’d never been to Qdoba and I was looking forward to checking it out. My experience was good. I had the Habanero Lime Steak bowl and it tasted fresh and delicious. The portions were ample. The prices may be a little high for that setting, but that’s the way it is most places these days. There was sufficient seating for us, but that may be due to my friend and his family getting there before me and saving us a seat. The staff members were welcoming, helpful, and fast. My first visit to Qdoba was good, but I think they may have insufficient parking during their busiest hours. There were people circling around looking for somewhere to park as I...
Read moreThe service was alright & the employees were kind. I ordered something simple; a bowl of chicken, white rice, shredded cheese & corn chip toppings. I had went to get Minute Made lemonade, it was SEVERELY watered down to the point to where it tasted like a glass of water. The Chicken lacked flavor & the Rice tasted like dish soap😡. As for the atmosphere, I'd give it about a 3.5 out of 5, but the tables were extremely dirty & stayed like that for the 30+ minutes I was at the restaurant, so that immediately gives it a 1 star. Now, I'm not bashing the chain, but this Qdoba in particular was absolutely horrible. I'm sure there are some that have higher standards but...
