2 months ago: Walking in, it was automatically hot from the kitchen. There is no table service, so you order from a computer pad and get your own condiments and drinks (unless you order an alcoholic drink, I guess). The place is small, I was worried I would not be able to find a place to sit, so I had my husband look around prior to ordering. I noticed tables were not cleaned off after people left, the floors were messy, and the bust bin was near the hallway tables, which seemed gross to see while eating. My husband said it smelled bad, but I didn't smell anything. It must have been the bus bin in the hallway, which we had to sit near of, since the other tables were messy. Food took a while, especially our sushi, which we got about 25 minutes after we received our ramen, which we almost finished. It was frustrating because three tables that arrived after us received their sushi/food first. The waitresses' excuse was that they were busy and it was coming.
I like ramen, but I don't feel that I will be coming here anytime soon, but if I do, we'll probably be sitting outside or taking to go. We'll see how that goes..
Update July 15 (after giving them time to adjust): I had a better experience, dining in and takeout. For my husband it is still a no for him because he sees it as a fast food type of place, but for me, it's not so bad anymore, especially when you go on a non busy time.
The service was better, the tables were cleaned off right after customers left, and I also noticed that they moved the bus bin to the inside instead of being left out in the open for everyone to see. Not bad, for the new and only ramen joint in...
Read moreWalking in the first red flag should’ve been the self ordering kiosk’s, but hey McDonald’s makes them work so we pushed onward. The menu had a variety of items to choose from. From ramen to sushi, milkshakes and teas the menu looked great. We ordered and paid (including the tip for the ghost crew we’ve yet to see). We picked a nice quiet table in the back, which we should’ve know was to good to be true… the moment the appetizers showed up apparently so did their food truck delivery. The back door was propped open for the remained of our meal, which is cool, who doesn’t like a little fresh air right? Well it was the flies we could’ve done without. The crab puffs were just unseasoned imitation crab wrapped and fried. The pan seared dumplings we subpar (tasted like the frozen Costco dumplings) We are very picky with dumplings as we’ve had excellent ones in the past. Now.. onto the ramen. Me and my wife both got the miso ramen (spicy) the best part about the ramen was the spice. Perfection. The rest of the bowl however lacked flavor. Ground meat tasted… well like ground meat that had just been dumped into the broth with the rest of the ingredients. Even the soft drinks where over carbonated. If you’ve never had ramen before, this place might be a decent first time spot. If you’ve ever had good ramen… avoid this place. BUT. I’m no Anthony Bourdain. I’m just some guy that spent $80 for some disappointing...

Food was DELICIOUS!!! Don’t come here for service or atmosphere or you will be disappointed. I had the creamy vegetarian ramen which was great, steamed edamame which is hard to screw up, and a fried ish tofu appetizer which was good with a good dipping sauce. I loved it! Now I don’t have to drive into Austin for Ramen!
I did take off one star because they put the closed sign out 20 minutes ahead of closing time, I had to order on a sticky touch screen, there are way too many options, and I felt rushed when people came in after me and needed to order using the one available sticky touchscreen (out of 3), I didn’t like being asked for a tip ahead of getting anything except being annoyed, and after we sat down the server bringing our food didn’t speak English, and one worker began mopping all around us and two other workers kept going back and forth to the front door looking at us like we were problematic even though it was at least 30 minutes until closing time. The food made up for it though so I will be back! Next time I will order it to go on my own sticky phone and eat it at home because there is absolutely no reason to sit there and listen to bad music and watch a bunch of workers willing you to leave half an hour before their advertised...
