At 10;45 am I ordered 10 Sandwiches to be picked up at 11:30 paid for them on the app added the tip and hope for the best. I needed the sandwiches for a branch meeting for my office just down the street. I arrived at 11:30 and understandably they were very busy and have a line as it is Veterans Day and a lot of people have the day off. There was a gentleman waiting for his food when I got there that was extremely irate and talking down to the staff so you can imagine the frustration that the staff was dealing with at this time, he had exclaimed that he was waiting 30 minutes for his order. I stood in the background waiting patiently just hoping to hear my name called to pick up my sandwiches and head back to my office. Moments later my name was called and I was handed a brown paper bag and headed back to my office to meet with my staff. The problem is is that when I unpacked the bag and started handing them out to my staff I was missing a sandwich. I knew at this point I would need to call them so they could make the sandwich and I could just easily walk in pick it up and leave again. I called the Jersey Mikes and was immediately put on hold. After four minutes I decided to just get in my car and drive back to the Jersey Mikes to get the sandwich that I needed. When I arrived at the Jersey Mikes I was still on hold as no one had ever picked up the phone. When I arrived at the counter with my receipt to tell them I was shorted a sandwich I was told that they didn’t have the ingredients to make that sandwich, no one told me that when I came in to pick them up no one offered to make me a different sandwich I guess they just decided that the best option was to send me away with nine of the 10 sandwiches that I had paid for . No apology nothing, and then I had to wait 10 minutes to get a sandwich but I should’ve gotten 30 minutes before. I understand that people are shortstaffed, this was not the instance as there was at least seven people working behind the counter, I understand that mistakes happen, but not one person apologize for the inconvenience not just of me having to drive back-and-forth to pick them up but for me leaving 10 people waiting in my office for a meeting that I preplanned for and ultimately did not quite work out OK I know now that using Jersey Mike’s for a large order is not...
Read moreI used to love Jersey Mike’s, but after my last two experiences I won’t return to the La Quinta shop. A few weeks ago I ordered a sandwich via the app. When I got there it wasn’t ready. They had about six sandwiches lined up ready to be “dressed”, and the kid who was working this station just couldn’t get it together. He stood there, fiddled around, walked away for some reason, then began putting toppings on a sandwich. A customer walked in without ordering ahead of time, ordered her sandwich, and moved hers ahead of everyone else’s orders. She received her sandwich in less than five minutes. I asked him why I bothered to order on the app if I could’ve just walked in and gotten it faster and he told me that sometimes it’s faster to just walk in to order. I waited 15 minutes for my sandwich with only four customers in the shop because this kid couldn’t focus on putting the sandwiches that had been sitting on the counter for the entire time I was there. Needless to say, the bread on my sandwich was soggy on the inside and hard on the outside.
I returned again yesterday for another stab at it, only to find a couple ordering who were not wearing masks. I thought all food places required masks. Everyone else in the store has a mask on, but none of the employees said anything to them. Once again, the sandwiches were stacked up and there was a lot of standing around so I left without ordering; otherwise I probably would have been waiting for...
Read moreI’ve been coming to this location for a few months now & have always had a good experience, until tonight. I came in 15 minutes before closing & I could see the staff cleaning up as I walked in (totally normal, I’ve worked in restaurants, I get it people want to go home & finish things ASAP. & I get how last minute orders aren’t the most fun). They were cleaning the grill & Alondra (girl who took my order) asked me if I would order a different sandwich. I politely said no thank you (I only get the mikes famous Philly & didn’t have anything else I wanted to spend $ on) & she got so upset about that. She made the sandwich, but it felt to me that she didn’t want to and was irritated that I didn’t order something else..I wasn’t rude to her to be treated that way. I understand it was close to closing time but they still had 15 minutes open & there were more customers coming in after me. I ordered 1 small sandwich..It was super uncomfortable!! The rest of the staff were nice and the...
