KFC — Restaurant in Lacy Lakeview

Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY from this KFC.

Rachelle, LaTonda and Emily were extremely rude to my family and I, including our grandfather, who is a handicapped Korean War veteran. We have never been treated like this at any restaurant. I hope the owner of this location realizes how his employers and management treat his paying customers and does something about it.

From placing our order at the counter with Emily (who had a major attitude and clearly not a single ounce of joy in her heart) to their manager calling the cops claiming that my mother-in-law was stealing lids and kicking us out, our whole experience here this evening was absolutely laughable.

After placing our order, Emily handed us our cups and a sleeve of maybe 15-20 lids (why she gave us this many, I have no idea - maybe she has trouble counting). So we took the lids and set them on our table as we dined, as there were customers in line behind us. Apparently, this got her in trouble. She must have told her manager that we took them. Why the hell anyone would steal a quarter of a sleeve of lids is beyond me. Besides the fact that they’re BEHIND the counter.

As we were finishing our meal, LaTonda (I truly hope I’m spelling that correctly) came and abruptly snatched the remaining stalk of lids from our table without a word. We all looked at each other in confusion. A couple of us went to the counter to mention to the manager the level of customer service we had experienced during our sentence here, and Rachelle (the manager) demanded that we leave the restaurant and told us she was calling the police. We politely waited outside for the police to arrive, and after having a laugh with them about the situation, we left on our way.

Of course, after reading this it should be obvious - we will never be stepping foot in this establishment again. And just a simple warning to others - the finger-lickin’ chicken is not worth what you have to endure while...

I just read the recent reviews. There are no responses to them so I'm sure this one won't be addressed either. First, the food was almost perfect. The overall experience was concerning. The floors are greasy, every table was dirty, all the windows are caked in grime, thr floors are covered in crunchy bits and dropped food, and it smells unclean. All that bring said, if the cleanliness is this bad what are the standards in the kitchen and prep areas. I saw people on their phones, nobody receiving customers at the counter. I ordered through the app tablet (that was covered in grime). And older couple left while I was waiting for my order. They were saying that they dont do tablets because they can't see well. Ice was busted in the soda machine and gnats were swarming the nozzles. Do they clean those on e a day? Probably not. No soap in restroom and I took the last paper towels when I washed my hands with water. Shame on you, whoever owns/runs this place. I get it, work is hard, but thus is only as bad as you allow it to be. The food was good once again, but will it make me sick? I hope not. Come on KFC. I didn't give 5☆ because the chicken was extremely moist, not exactly sure how to explain other than the batter/skin was all mashing together and you couldn't eat it properly. It's as if they cooked it some time earlier and had been storing it in a damp hot box for a while. It was by far the worst I've ever gotten from KFC. I was craving it, too.. so super underwhelmed. It's usually the bomb, but if we go here again and it's the same we will not be going to this location for sure. This was last night, Sunday April 10th, 2022. We got a bucket, 3 sandwiches, sides, biscuits, jalapeños and drink. Everything else was as expected and yummy. The chicken was yummy, but the texture and lack of batter/seasoning because it all stuck together in the bucket and it would stay in the bucket because of the clumping of it mashing into a paste like texture in the bucket. We immediately came home to a starving crowd of teens and it dismayed us..... also, plan to be in line for a long time!
