IHOP — Restaurant in Bellmead

I don't know who needs to hear this but while viewing the menu, my son told me, "All the drinks here are made with tap water." I know about chemical additives in tap water so I ask the waitress, "What drinks do you have that don't use tap water?" She says, "the water from the tap is filtered." But the answer was none except milk. Apparently from all the beverages on the menu, the 2% milk and chocolate Milk are the only options that are not based or mixed with filtered tap water. Whether carbonated fountain drinks or coffee, it's the same water. I didn't enjoy the chocolate milk and did not drink more than a sip due to the flavor being bland and overly rich at the same time.

The salmon looked exactly like the menu photo and tasted fine.

We ordered lunch during late morning breakfast rush on a busy weekend. The service was brisk and the attendants and wait staff were pleasant, upbeat and attentive.

The entire menu is available at any hour whether a dinner or breakfast selection and I like that!

Its a smallish place with close seating so the restaurant can feel a little tight when looking around during a crowded time. The table and booths are sufficiently spacious to have enough room to move about at your own table.

A welcoming place for children, families, groups, couples, elder folks and solitary diners.

The review is for a past experience but I am just now getting around to figuring out which location we were at. We ended up at this Ihop after totaling our vehicle at 3am up the highway. It was the closest place open that we could walk to as not a single hotel in the area had an opening for us. We ended up sitting here for close to 8 hours because when the car rental companies finally opened we were informed there were no rentals available anywhere. The waitress on duty was so kind. She saw us walk in all cut up and disheveled with nothing but our phones and wallets and didn't even hesitate to find us a place we could hang out until we were able to figure something out. She even let the new waitress that replace her at shift change know what had happened and to let us stay as long as we needed. She check on us multiple times and never once expected us to buy anything even though we offered. If for no other reason than the incredible staff I would...

Waited 30 minutes to get seated with almost entirely open seating. Hostess (very nice) got our drink order and said waitress would take our order shortly. Thirty more minutes, waitress finally takes order. No one checked on us for 45 minutes. Food comes and is tepid. Ordered the lemon berry ricotta French toast - says on menu fresh berries on top. Got two cold pieces of burnt French toast slathered with raspberry sauce, a glob of cream cheese (no ricotta) about the size of a half dollar, a lemon wedge and 1 fresh soft blueberry - yes one. My slice of ham was hard and burnt as well. My husband ordered a steak omelette - there were about four quarter-sized pieces of overcooked steak. He ate his pancakes.

The service has always been incredibly slow; however, the food is decent. Today, we were there over 2+ hours and the food was awful. Will be a long time before...
