We pulled off the highway to grab a coffee from Starbucks and saw this place across the road. We prefer a good local coffee shop so we abandoned Starbucks and ordered in the drive thru. We also thought they must be confident to go up against the Starbucks Man so close by which gave us hope. The customer service was superior to Starbucks in everyway. My husband orders a double shot and I got an Americano with a little steamed milk. We also ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches which took forever and held up the line. The jam with meat and cheese is odd but we can support salty and sweet. I had the Gouda and sausage but passed on the blueberry jam. My husband got the cheddar and one but didn't pass on the strawberry jam. He literally shivered through his double shot and had aftershocks for many miles, the taste was so bad. Thankfully after watching him struggle I had time to ask for some sugar packets to go in case I needed to doctor mine up which did turn out to be necessary. And we had to trade sandwiches because he couldn't make it through the strawberry jam. I couldn't either but I made it further than he did. Maybe they are more like Starbucks than we thought and do an excellent job on milky sugary frou frou drinks. But they didn't nail the basics. Thinking positively it gave us a lot to talk and laugh about for the rest of our...
Read moreI rarely leave reviews for buisnesses unless i have an extremely positive or negative experience. Unfortunately, i had the latter. I used to love going to this place when it was copper moon because it had good sizes for the price and the coffee/espresso was pretty good.
I figured i would give java house a try since it was just the rebranded copper moon but i don't know what happened because the quality was abysmal. I ordered a large decaf americano with half and half for close to $6.50. It took me close to 15 minutes to get my drink, granted they were busy at the time so i don't really count this against them. But i just recieved a black americano no cream and a straw to stir in the concentrate. There is no real coffee, its all concentrate as stated from the barista who took my order.
The coffee itself tasted terrible, it was wierdly sweet and had a cemical pungancy that was really off-putting. Not to mention the size was miniscule for the price i was paying. It seemed close to like a starbucks medium for reference.
To sum up i left a one star review because there is no real coffee at this establishment, my order was incorrect, the coffee itself tasted terrible, and the value is abysmal. If you want overpriced coffee id recommend the starbucks across the street. At least there you can get real coffee and...
Read moreMy husband and I love trying new places and we normally enjoy a iced coffee every morning together. On this particular roadtrip (we are constantly exploring new places and Lafayette is the place this week) we decided to try Copper Moon Coffee for the first time and my husband ordered a Large Iced Vanilla Latte and I ordered a Large Iced Lavender Vanilla Latte. The size was perfect for the price. Absolutely perfect. It was a good sized portion for a large and they weren't overly packed with ice like some places. We decided to go thru the drive-thru since we had the baby with us and the drive-thru was quick and efficient. The cashier explained everything without a single hint of sarcasm or rudeness. She was smiling and super polite and didn't rush us at all. Now the only reason I gave them a 4 star instead of a 5 was because of flavor. We have tried coffee at hundreds of restaurants and love trying new ones but the coffee here tasted watered down. There was not a lot of flavoring. You can definitely taste the Lavender in my coffee but like I said, it tastes watered down and isn't very strong which really disappointed me in the end because it's such a beautiful restaurant and super great service. But they really need to work on...
