Studio 6 Suites Lafayette, IN — Hotel in Lafayette

My experience at Studio 6 in Lafayette was very disappointing. We booked the hotel months ago for Purdue family weekend because this was the only hotel left in the area. I typically would never stay at a "Motel" but we saw they had upgraded the rooms and figured we would give it a shot. It's quite deceiving. The room had a weird smell to it, there were flys/nats in the bathroom, the pillows led me to look at the mattress. Unfortunately, they had visible stains that were unacceptable, and we noticed some type of dead bugs at the bottom of the bed. Cleanliness are basic expectations , and this location fell short. We ended up leaving once we were back around midnight, drove home 2 hours to sleep in our own clean bed.

We didn't bother mentioning anything to the employees, not worth it. They were very nice when checking in and even came and swapped out the battery of the smoke detector because it was beeping. There are people hanging out here, if I had to guess I would think they are living here but I am not certain.

The sheets and pillow shams were stained. There was mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. Only one hand towel and one bigger towel, no wash clothes, no shampoo, no conditioner. The blankets are super thin and feel like another set of sheets.

Booking.com screwed up on my booking dates. The booking.com representative tried convincing the assistant manager to give us a full refund and she refused! She didn't even want to talk to the representative on the phone! We had already booked the night directly through the hotel, but she couldn't give us a refund for the following night?!?

This place is just a glorified Motel 6. I think they like to hide behind the name "Studio 6" because then people like us end up booking this hotel. I don't know how they have even gotten anything beyond one or two star reviews, because this place has disaster written all over it. I highly recommend not...
