Wings Etc. — Restaurant in Lafayette

Went there today (Monday). Sat down, got drinks pretty quickly. But thats where the train came off the tracks. We sat there, and sat there and sat there some more. The whole time, our server just stood near the register, close to the kitchen. When I got up to address him, he turned around and walked into the kitchen. I started looking around for ANYONE who could help us. There was no one to be found. So I walked into the kitchen door to find all the staff just sitting around the kitchen chatting. This location is usually good. In fact, we live across the street from the other Wings etc location, and choose to go to this location because we have experienced horrible service at the Memorial Parkway location. This is strike one for this location. We will try again,. However, if this continues, there may not be a strike three. I will just contact corporate office in South Bend/Mishawaka, and inform them of why we will not be going to their business again. It's a pity too. I grew up around South Bend. And have loved wings etc since its inception. However, the lafayette region wings etc has much to be desired.

Update: Strike 3

Went back to try one last time. Walked in to a restaurant that was half full of patrons, no staff and a sign that said "seat yourself". We should have known right then. However, we sat down anyway. After 7- minutes of waiting, and being ignored by the staff, the bartender told us that she would be right with us. Several minutes later, she was still helping other customers. While the other staff continued to ignore everyone. I don't blame the bartender... she was the only one working! Needless to say, we left. Never again! WE ARE DONE! I WILL however, be contacting corporate in Mishawaka. To see if anyone is this corporation...

Words is can’t even describe the level of disrespect and rudeness I experience when I decided to place an order at this place when I walked in I saw a group that had already been seated, and the waiter was walking towards them so I sat down to look over the menu Thinking someone would be right with me. I had to have been there for well over 30 minutes during that time I watched the same male waitress attend to two separate groups. He took their drink orders and their food orders. He bought their drinks back in the entire time while I was only 10 feet away from him. He never acknowledge Me Not once eventually a woman came from the kitchen and asked have I been helped. I shook my head, no and expressed to her how long I have been sitting there while the young man never once acknowledge me what all that being said he shouldn’t be in a position where he has to deal with the public if he doesn’t know how to greet them properly even after she took my order he still never acknowledge me I hate to think that it was because I’m a black woman that he completely disregarded and disrespected me, but this place needs to reconsider who they have as a waitress because this guy has no...

A friend and I went in on a Thursday night because we were craving some wings, I’d never tried wings, etc., and we were wanting a place that we could sit outside. When we got there, there were about three other tables in the restaurant. I walked over to the manager and waitress and asked if we should just seat ourselves after having stood at the door for a few minutes. The waitress said that is fine so I told her that we would be sitting outside on the patio, the manager stated that they didn’t have the staff to serve us outside (mind you, the door to outside is closer than some of the indoor tables.)

We said we understood that a lot of places are shortstaffed currently so we would sit inside. My friend and I decided to sit up at the bar to make it easier on them since typically there is a bartender that can help by taking orders, etc.

After sitting there for about 5 to 7 minutes longer and not getting menus or drinks, we decided to go to Buffalo wild wings. Funnily enough, there were only two waitresses there that night (plus the manager), a much bigger restaurant, much busier, and the patio is a lot further away.
