I hate leaving negative reviews, On May 16th 2019, at approximately 7:30 pm, My wife and I along with another couple went to Samurai for dinner, I had been there 4 years prior and had exceptional service and the food was exquisite. But this visit, May 16th 2019 was a complete nightmare. Our group placed our orders at approximately 7:40 pm, we did not get our food until 9:20 pm. The restaurant was not in the middle of a lunch or dinner rush. When we finally got our sushi, it was discolored, soggy and had a foul smell. Our group attempted to consume portions of the food that appeared to be relatively decent but ultimately left one hundred dollars worth of sushi untouched on the table.
I asked for a manager but the wait staff said there wasn’t a manager employed by the restaurant. I asked a member of the wait staff if there was anyone in an authoritative position employed currently on the premises, the member of the wait staff stated that Lucy, runs the restaurant and she was in the kitchen, I asked to speak to Lucy but she refused to meet with me. I told the member of the wait staff that it is unsafe to consume raw fish that has sat out for a considerably long period of time, which by the looks of the sushi it had sat for over an hour prior to being delivered to our table.
I asked the member of the wait staff if Lucy would take the food that was unconsumed off our ticket, the member of wait staff asked Lucy and Lucy refused to take un eaten, unsanitary food off our ticket and forced us to pay for rotten food.
I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Read moreoct 1st -Food was delicious, but sadly I had the worst experience with our waitress. She was young and mentioned it was her 3rd day working, so we tried to cut her some slack. She didn't bring us any utensils or napkins until 30 min into our meal and only gave us 1 fork for 3 people. We asked her if we could have 2 more sets of utensils and she said no there aren't any more?? And walked away? She was extremely rude and we had to flag her down again to ask her if she could please wash some utensils. She took our orders wrong and blamed me for the miscommunication when I told her the exact name of the dish I wanted. She brought me two orders of it and told us we still had to pay for it even if we sent it back. Really disappointed in the service and if we ever come back and she's working we will ask that another person serve us. I understand she was new but the way she talked to us was extremely rude. She didn't have a supervisor watching her and was the only server working. We ended up spending an extra $15 on a plate of food we didn't want. We tried to be as kind as possible, especially because I've worked as a waitress before and know how mean people can be... Samurai was HIGHLY suggested, it was a toss up with a few other places but we chose to try here. We have never had a bad experience, it's a hidden gem.
