Dickey's Barbecue Pit — Restaurant in Lake Charles

This is the first negative review I've ever written and it pains me to do so. I went here to attempt to buy dinner. I walked in, the place was empty and there were to gentlemen working. They did not greet me or anything of the sort. I had to tell the one person the made my order, multiple times what I wanted. When it came time to pay, they could not get their credit card machine to work. They attempted to reset it 3 times and still nothing. They both looked at me and it felt as if I were disturbing them and all they said was "we don't know what to do." Now my food is sitting on the counter and we are just awkwardly looking at each other. We all know that they can't put my food back so you'd think that since they were going to lose the sale and the food they would have just said, here tou go sorry for the inconvenience and then put up a sign saying the card machine was down. To be clear, I have to use my company card on the road so, it's not like I could have gone to the ATM and paid with cash. So, I said forget it and left. On my way out I did remark out loud "and they want us to become a cashless society, this should work great!" I did also attempt to go to their other location across town as I was really in the mood for Barbecue now. When I got to the other location, they guy working there barely looked up from his phone when I asked if their cars machine was working. Then I told him what happened at the other location and he did not care at all. I then had to ask him if he wanted to take my order and he begrudgingly started to put on gloves. Then is said "we only have fried okra and fries for sides". Needless to say, I did not buy anything from Dickeys at 2 different locations... very...

I am a medical.sales rep. I spent over 800.00 on April 18th to feed a clinic of 45 people. When I got home I realized I had left my business Amex card with Dickies. No one called me & they had my number. I asked repeatedly to speak to the manager to have him mail it to me. Thursday went by. Nothing. Called Fri. He never called me back. Waited Saturday. Called. He never called me back. I called Sunday. He answered the phone. The rudest man ever! So non-chalant about it. He said all he needs to do is get a stamp & mail it. I've been asking since Thursday the 18th for him or his wife to mail it. Reps! First off I paid 300.00 more at Dickies than I did for the exact amount at Sonny's in Baton Rouge. 2nd they do not care about you AT ALL! I told the staff repeatedly that I had lunches scheduled all week & needed my card. No one cared. 3rd the managers attitude was UNEXCEPTABLE on so many levels I am so angry about this. As of tomorrow Amex will know he refused to send it. My company will know he refused to send it. And the Sheriff's Dept will know he refused to send it. All he could say to me...

The server/meat cutter lady got me with the..... i see u but im not gonna serve u..... 1961 racist trick..... i haven't seen it in a long time and thought we were done with it... U know the trick where the only black person comes up to the counter less then 3 feet away from where your cutting meat and stands face to face with you for like 5 minutes and when a white gentlemen comes and stand a foot to his right you yell loud and clearly "welcome to Dickeys may i take your order sir"..... "Maam i haven't ordered" i interjected... "Oh u didn't" she answered.... She knew i hadn't ordered... Hungry and eager to check out I ordered a 2 meat plate.... I would have looked past being ignored at the counter if the $20 plate was worth it.... This is a hard working community make $20 worth of food look like $20 worth of food for crying out loud... 2 slices of Turkey, half of a chicken breast & a drink $20 ......
