3.5 stars: A friend and I went to Baird's on B for happy hour because the menu looked intriguing. The service was friendly and the patio seating overlooking B Street was so comfortable and fun. I wish the food had been better to fit the wonderful afternoon spent there. We ordered the following: Crab cakes: 3 small dollar coin-sized medallions. It didn't really taste like crab - at least there weren't any easily identifiable lumps of crabs but then again the crab cakes would have to be much larger to accommodate any sizable chunks of meat.
Brussel sprouts: I thought this would be oven-roasted but instead it had the oiliness and texture of being deep fried. Even the center of the brussel sprouts were dried and crispy which means it may have been deep fried or roasted way too long. As a result of the dried-out texture, I didn't get much flavor from it.
Vegetarian potstickers: this was our favorite dish but the bar has been set pretty low. While the texture of the wrapper and the flavor of the filling was good, the filling to wrapper ratio was woefully low. To make it worse it was overly glazed thus making it salty. Certainly the extra soy dipping sauce was not needed. It would've been better without the glaze. For the price of these 3 items as well as the many positive reviews of this restaurant I expected better.

Read moreStandard upscale-ish bar with food. The location is nice and the dinning room(s) are nice. The food was decent, nothing that really wowed me and that's fine. I'd go back for the potential season menu changes if I was in the area and didn't want to explore someplace new.
Quality: Good, the ingredients and care seemed above your normal bar with fancier food. I just didn't see anything on the menu that jumped out at me. Portion Size: Decent, I didn't end up taking anything home and that's okay. Fully belly is a fully belly. Cost: Can be on the higher side but the menu offers a variety of price points. Service: Good, pretty standard sit-down restaurant service. Atmosphere: Nice, a very lovely dining room and interesting patio seating. I do remember it being pretty loud. Would I go back? - Sure, when the menu changes and if I don't have another place to try in the area. TL;DR - Okay food, okay service, nice location. Overall, average and I'd recommend you try it for yourself if you want to...
Read moreThe ambiance was quaint, and our server seemed pleasant enough. However, the culinary experience was an absolute travesty, epitomizing disrespect for the hefty price tag. I opted for their Wagyu beef Burger, only to be served a patty as thin as a wafer and charred beyond recognition. Meanwhile, my partner's $41 steak arrived resembling a piece of charcoal despite ordering it medium rare. The Caesar salad we dared to order featured wilted, lackluster romaine that might as well have been sourced from a compost heap. The lone saving grace was the calamari, a dish so rudimentary that even this establishment couldn't botch it. Should you have an insatiable desire to squander your hard-earned money on subpar experience and abysmal food look no further—this establishment is the epitome of...
