Order from this restaurant at your own risk. We have eaten there over the years & have placed several take out orders recently to help local businesses out during these hard times. Tonight my wife picked up a salad, pizza and a order of chicken parmesan. With the first bite of the chicken parm, I was immediately hit with the sour, sharp taste of spolied chicken. We live over the mountain 20-25 minutes away so I called to notify the manager of the problem & either get a refund for just that dish or a store credit for our next visit. I did not even get a word of sympathy. Just a very sharp "I don't think so!", from the manager. Needless to say, we will not return.
Just an update. It's been a week since my post and the only response has been from Google thanking me for taking the time to submit a review. Most managers or business owners would at least acknowledge my displeasure with some empathy but like many others have experienced, these people are happy to take your money but they will not stand behind their product. Due to years of business travel and long days & late nights, I used to eat in restaurants 5-6 days per week. I've had my share of food related illnesses. Normally an apology & an offer to provide something else is enough even if I choose to just move on. However, when a manager fails to even acknowledge my displeasure, I have a problem. Salvatore's will be the next busy on my list that I will never visit again & any time I'm asked to recommend a restaurant, I will tell the person to avoid this place like the plague. This may be the worst I've ever been treated...
Read moreOrdered meat ravioli (via internet order for pickup) with Italian sausage, mushrooms, and ricotta cheese but only got the ravioli minus the extras. The marinara sauce was bitter and very acidic-instant heartburn. I'd guess its the same sauce on all the dishes that get marinara. I suggest you pass if you get heartburn easily.... It's not their best dish, and no, I didn't finish it. The garlic bread was sub-par as well, barely buttered, and lacking garlic to the point of being just lightly butter bread. It was soft and had a decent texture, though. The canoli isn't traditional, so with them claiming to be authentic an Italian eatery, I'd pass on this the next time (not likely making the 14 mile trip again, one bad experience is enough). The sweet tea was actually good, sweet, as tea should be in the south. The server was polite, and they had a convenient drive up window. The food was ready 2 minutes after I arrived. Being a native of Buffalo, NY, and having had authentic Italian food there makes me super sensitive to the cuisine that I have been exposed to from restaurants that have generational ties to recipes and traditions weaved into the...
Read moreThis place was such a pleasant and unexpected surprise! My husband and I stopped in for our first time for lunch. At first glance from the exterior, I wasn't even close to expecting the quality we found within (never judge a book by its cover!) First of all, they have great specials for lunch time! Right after ordering, we noticed how quick and prepared they are as they handed us our (super fresh) premade salads that came with our meal. We both ordered the Manicotti Mushroom Alfredo (comes with garlic bread and salad), and both of us were blown away at how delicious it was! It's obvious the sauce was fresh and homemade, and the flavor of the ricotta in the manicotti was so perfectly rich, and it is SMOTHERED with melty mozzarella. I have never been so happy with a quick dining place like this. It's absolutely my new favorite Italian spot with the very reasonable pricing, the service, and the obvious "work smarter, not harder" mentality of the staff. Super clean and organized. My husband and I work close to the 280 location and I'm positive this is going to be a new regular...
