This was a very disappointing experience. First, when I arrived the cashier and the customer in front of me were in a conversation that was more personal than any should between employee/customer... Second, the cashier was not very attentive as I was giving my order (continued conversation with the previous customer as she took my order). Third, no surprise, order was wrong on the receipt. When I explained the order wasn't correct the cashier walked into the kitchen to correct it and stopped one more time to interact with the previous customer...again š. Fourth, as I'm waiting on my food I walked back outside to try and reset my brain on the experience and my wife tells me one of the employees was engaged in a make out session in the parking lot. So as you can imagine I'm ready to ask for my $ back and go somewhere else at this point. I walk back in and happen to look into the kitchen and see one employee texting on her phone, with gloves on (certain that's a health code violation). Finally, when my order was brought out it came in pieces...i.e., the kids meal and three sandwiches ( I only order 2 sandwiches outside of the kids meal). She okay let me go get your sides. When the sides came back...missing the fries. She went to get my fries and I had to wait another 3-5 minutes in that time frame she returned to the counter and told me "he said wait a minute" ... Not sure what that even meant but that's what I was told "he said wait a minute". Needless to go on about the terrible performance of this location I think it is very clear that visiting this location is not a great idea if you are looking for good food and service... If you want to spend some money and have to work to figure out of your order is correct and wait 30 minutes for it this location comes highly recommended my yours truly.! The 2 stars given was for the food btw,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst, I would like to say that Michael and Todd were both amazing and the food was great. The general manager, Coy, was the only issue at this establishment. I have never met a general manager with such a nasty attitude, lack in customer service skills and lack in leadership. Michael was honestly the main reason I still proceeded with my order on July 20, 2019.
In short, my family and I were placing a take out order for 5 people and wanted to use a BOGO coupon for one of the meals from a BHM "SaveAround" student fundraising coupon book. Michael informed the manager, Todd, who had no issue and was about to apply the discount for one of the meals. The GM intervened as Todd was going to get his card and stated that he will not accept the coupon. Mind you, I had previously used one of these coupons from the book at the Hoover location a few days prior to our visit here and had no issue whatsoever. When asked for further clarification as to why the coupon could not be granted, Coy stated in an ill tone, "Well I don't know anything about this coupon. I'm not accepting it." Okay... My question is why not considering that it is plain as a day a coupon for this establishment with an expiration date and the coupons cannot be used more than once?
Anywho, I never received an adequate answer nor was I pleased with the bickering or tone of voice from this so called GM. He switched his story from not knowing about the coupon to "corporate told us we cannot accept it a few days ago". Luckily, I am very familiar with corporate personnel and have since reached out to those individuals. Being a GM myself, I would never handle a situation like this is such a manner. If said coupon truly is not accepted due to corporate instructions simply apologize, inform your customer of the what/why and rectify the issue to ensure customer satisfaction as...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went with my aunt and dad on a road trip to Birmingham, AL for our family reunion a few years ago. While we were out, we got an appetite for dinner. Our southern family members planned to take us to a restaurant nearby that served chicken and waffles. The restaurant was too small to accommodate all of us. Full Moon Bar-B-Que was our next option. The smell of the soul food and barbeque dishes hit our noses at the door! The establishment looked family-owned, and was family-friendly. There was around 50 of us with one cashier and maybe 1-2 cooks in the back. She had to call for more workers since a big party unexpectedly arrived. She was as calm and patient as she could be, taking all of our orders very carefully. I ordered barbeque chicken with mac n cheese, greens, and corn bread. The food was delicious!!! This was the first time I ate southern barbeque food. This was my first time I also had authentic southern sweet tea. I mean it was SWEET, just the way I like it! in a full large size cup!! The desserts looked tantalizing, but I was full off my big dinner plate. The restaurant also delivers! In my hometown, not many restaurants outside of pizza places and Chinese restaurants deliver. After we were done eating and ready to leave, they gave us a courteous good bye and welcomed us back. They provide great customer service especially in hectic situations!!! This is a very rare experience and a wonderful one at that. I highly recommend anyone who wants authentic soul food or some good barbeque food to stop by Full Moon Bar-B-Que some great food and service!!!! The next time I am in the vicinity I will be...
