Since moving back to Lake Stevens we were excited to return to our go to Chinese restaurant. 1st time we had lunch special and it was good but obviously warmed up. 2nd time we went all out for dinner: Pupu tray Pot stickers Crab rangoon Hot n sour Orange chicken Chicken cashew Happy family. The appetizers were ok, the pups tray stuff was cold. Others were yummy but sauce for crab rangoon was sweet and sour sauce. Weird The two meals were OK but the happy family tasted funky. The shrimp was fishy smelling and scary. The older lady waitress didn't check back in. It wasn't good all the way around. A few months later we went again for the lunch special. It was Sunday and tables were busy, or not bussed. The same waitress as before guided us to a table that was being bussed. She went to get a cleaning cloth and as she returned to the table she dropped the cloth on the floor. She quickly picked the cloth up, slapped it on the table and wiped down the table. That meal was hotter and fresher but I was so appalled I couldn't enjoy. It was then we made the decision to go elsewhere. Too much failed food, money and not great anymore. Health hazards maybe too? I miss the specials tho Sad in Lake Stevens Semi warm, not much flavor in chicken cashew. Mongolian beef was good. Fried rice looked like just brown rice. It wasn't anywhere close to what it used to be. Have wasted $80...

Read moreThis place was good for the first six months after they opened the doors. After that my experiences with this place just keep going downhill. First off, their website just give a 404 error, which makes it hard to figure out what to order when doing a pickup order. We actually had to go there and go in to check out the menu. We then had to wait for quite a while to get our order. It would have been nice to call ahead and have them prepare the meal so we could simply pick it up and not have to wait for it to be cooked.
The worst thing is the food, which is subpar. The broccoli in the Broccoli Beef was pretty much mush. The beef had little flavor and tasted like baking soda. I know some places use that to help tenderize their meet, but this tasted like they used too much. The fried rice had little in it and was somewhat dried out.
If you live in Lake Stevens and want good Chinese food then I suggest you make the effort to go to Everett, as they have decent Chinese...
