My recent visit to Sushi + Rotary Sushi Bar left much to be desired, resulting in a 1-star rating. Here's why:
Poor Quality Sushi: The sushi served at Sushi + Rotary Sushi Bar was subpar in terms of taste and freshness. The fish seemed lackluster and had a noticeably fishy odor, indicating that it may not have been of the highest quality. Additionally, the rice was overly sticky and mushy, detracting from the overall dining experience.
Limited Variety: Despite being advertised as a sushi bar, the variety of sushi options available was disappointingly limited. The revolving conveyor belt featured a repetitive selection of basic sushi rolls, with little to no innovation or creativity in terms of flavor combinations or presentation.
Unhygienic Conditions: The cleanliness of the restaurant was questionable, with dirty plates and utensils left sitting on the conveyor belt for extended periods. I also observed staff members handling food without gloves and failing to adhere to proper food safety protocols, raising concerns about the overall hygiene standards of the establishment.
Slow Service: Despite the small number of customers in the restaurant, the service at Sushi + Rotary Sushi Bar was unacceptably slow. It took an excessive amount of time for orders to be fulfilled, and requests for additional items or refills were often ignored or forgotten by the staff.
Uncomfortable Seating: The seating arrangements at Sushi + Rotary Sushi Bar were uncomfortable and cramped, with little space between tables. This lack of privacy and elbow room made it difficult to enjoy the meal in a relaxed and comfortable manner.
Overall, my experience at Sushi + Rotary Sushi Bar was highly disappointing. The poor quality sushi, limited variety, unhygienic conditions, slow service, and uncomfortable seating all contributed to a less-than-pleasant dining experience. I would not recommend this establishment to others and am unlikely to return...

I arrived for dinner and was seated on the aisle with single seats next to each other along the wall. There was a customer next to me, one seat between us. As I was browsing the menu I noticed this customer knocked off a lid to one of the plates on the belt. No big deal, I thought. The belt moves fast so I thought it was a mistake. Then he knocked another lid off, and then immediately another one. By this point my attention was directed to him because of all the lids being knocked around. I was absolutely shocked when I saw that what was actually happening was that he was eating from the plates with his fingers and chopsticks and then quickly trying to put the lids back on. While I was trying to lift my jaw off the floor I saw him do this two more times. I immediately got up and told the staff. As the staff member and I were walking towards this customer we both watched him do it again. Another staff member was walking towards us when he did it yet again. By this point who knows how many plates he touched with his fingers and chopsticks. After watching what was happening and the staff not doing anything about it, besides telling him he can't do that, I left. They didn't stop anyone from eating or say anything to the other customers about what was found on. I couldn't eat there knowing what had happened. The restaurant was at least 75% full and he had been sitting there already with several plates in front of him and an empty beer glass. Who knows how many of those people took plates from the sushi belt not knowing what was going on. What if this person has a communicable disease like hepatitis that can spread easily thru food? I left and waited across the street for 15 minutes to see if anything would happen. This customer was still allowed to stay inside and...
Read moreI don't know how many times I bothered one of the staff to help me with my order, and to be honest I felt so bad for making her go to the back and ask the sushi chef about the order, but I knew they sent me the wrong order. I placed my Yuzu Albacore order, but what I ended up getting was some raw fish order, instead of the seared Albacore.
So, I asked the staff hey can you check this for me because this doesn't seem right, and the girl was nice about it and went to check. She told me that it should be right, but I insisted that it wasn't and had her ask the chef again. This time, she took the plate and went again. She came back with the same exact dish, except the only thing that changed was the small sprinkle of spring onions that they probably half-heartedly thrown on there.
I had to ask for the staff again, and I showed her the screen, pointed out the exact differences, and showed her the plate that I received. So she took the plate again and finally when she came back this time, it looked like an actual Yuzu Albacore, seared. However, to be honest, I don't know if they just took the spring onions off, seared it, then put it back on, but she told me that the sushi chef made a new one. I dunno, I was still pretty skeptical, but I'm glad they finally did it right.
I hope that next time the sushi chef isn't lazy about the order or whatever because I can't believe I had to ask at least 3 times to get one correct order. They didn't even offer anything as an apology for their shoddy personality of a sushi chef, so I guess the only thing I can do is leave a review for all of you out there and hope that this doesn't...
