It's 8:30pm. We are trying to have a quick bite with our toddler and deaf 3-month old. We've been to BJs countless times - specifically this location by Colorado Mills Mall. We walk in, the hostess works in finding us a booth, with the majority of the restaurant empty. She finds a "safe spot out of people's way." We sit down, get everyone situated. Our youngest is in her stroller crying and we are taking her out to feed her. My older daughter is already coloring and we are ready to order. A smug manager by the name of "Kelly" approaches and tells us we cannot have a stroller in the big aisle. "You can't sit here, it's not allowed." "Your hostess specially sat us here?" By this time, our little one is happily being fed. "I don't care what she told you, I won't allow it. I'm the manager." Kelly keeps a smug smile on his face. He also tells me directly that it's a safety hazard for servers to lift anything over people / objects. I'm assuming they don't allow handicap people at that rate.... Long story short, he doesn't have kids, doesn't care about families and we left. If you're in the area looking for places to go, Red Robin allows families in tighter areas, Yard House has massive booths and, again, no concern with families, strollers, etc. To BJs - we've been going there for over a decade with friends, family, office parties. No more - you hired a terrible manager who clearly can't train his staff and simply doesn't support kids & families.

Service was friendly and attentive, and the food satisfied some picky eaters with a wide variety of tastes. I've been here before and REALLY enjoyed the pork chops, but I went with a sandwich this time and it was just as delicious at a lower price point. Meat was cooked perfectly to order, veggies were crisp but not undercooked, and everything tasted great. Wide range of nice selections for kids, and the free pizzookie for joining the rewards program was a massive hit at our table (we went with the monkey bread pizzookie) and a wonderfully decadent way to wrap up our experience. Will go again. My only issue is soft drink price. My kids ate for less than $7 each, and I got a sandwich rather than a fancy entree. All three of us got soft drinks (admittedly, lavender lemonade and handcrafted root beer are specialty soft drinks) and that brought our total to about $50. Get an entree instead, or have a cocktail, or a single shared app, and you're looking at a $25 per person on average, even if 2/3 are kids. I'm not saying it's an unfair price, the quality was great. This isn't garbage fast food and you get what you pay for. The price just affects how often we will be able to come back, if foregoing booze, opting for a sandwich instead of entrees, and sticking to the kids menu for the kids still leaves three of us dropping $60 after tax and tip.

I have only ordered my food to go at the Denver West location, in Colorado. They have friendly and engaging staff. I usually get the Smokehouse burger with fries. The patty on the burger is a nice size and thickness, with a great taste and the right amount of juicy. The burger features breaded deepfried onions, and is topped with a sweet barbecue sauce on a big ol' perfectly fluffy bun. The food is phenomenal at times, although a bit inconsistent. I order my burger medium well, and I typically don't mind if there's a minor amount of pink left in the middle. However I have, on occasion, gotten a burger patty that was cooked medium rare.(see pictures). On those occasions, I eat what I can and just toss the rest. I might switch to just ordering well done and see how that turns out. I gave this location a 4 out of 5 star rating(would have been 5 if I didn't run into the issue of the undercooked burger), and would definitely recommend them to locals and tourists alike.

I want to preface this by saying that i've never went out of my way to leave a review, but my experience was so bad that i felt i had to.

We waited an hour to get our Appetizers. In that hour we witnessed 2 other tables get up and leave (probably walked out on their bill and i dont blame them). We also had food runners come to our table 5 times asking if we ordered what they were bringing out ( Which we should have just said yes because we didnt expect our APPETIZERS to take an hour).

Was planning to order entrees but didn't want to have to stay over night. Decided to place a dessert order to go, asked "if i placed this order will i have to wait a long time?". I was told " No, it'll be right out". 30 mins later, it is brought and im told that "it was out 5 mins but the runner never brought it out".... the dessert comes with ice cream.. and it was left out for 5 mins and brought to my table like thats okay? Didn't even pack a spoon cause the intention was to eat it immediately as it came out as we're walking out and driving home.

Can't get worse right? We ask for the bill that is Wrong, we have another tables bill. Ask for a correction, get a bill that is even worsely wrong. " accidently combined all 3 tables bills". if we werent pissed off before (Which we are) we are Super pissed now. We had to wait another 10 mins for the server to come to the table and itemize it infront of us and Finally it was right.

Terrible. Dont go. No plans to ever...

What happened to BJs? It use to be a solid elevated spot for food. Went in today and Melissa was our server, didn’t really appreciate the vibe, seemed almost to busy for us (even though they were slow) every time she came to the table to drop off food she took off before we could even ask for anything extra or if everything was ok and almost slammed the food on the table with a careless attitude, just came off extremely rude. I had to get up out of my seat and track her down just to ask for ranch and honey mustard. Overall energy from her just came off negative and made the experience unpleasant. As far as food, asked Melissa for some Mac & cheese balls as an appetizer and she rudely said that they didn’t have any more and they they’ve been out for weeks??? Then I ordered the clam chowder bowl and to be brutally honest it tasted like canned clam chowder and was probably the worst I’ve ever tasted, pasty consistency and the clams were ridiculously rubbery. My fiancé ordered a basic cheeseburger and that also tasted like a frozen patty with no flavor whatsoever. Maybe if Melissa would’ve had better energy we would’ve had the patience to even tell her but at this point we just wanted to pay our bill and get out of there. Unfortunately, after this experience and the fact that BJ’s is not a cheap place to eat, we will not be returning...
