Cold Stone Creamery — Restaurant in Lakewood

I used to go here with my daughter back in 2015, and I remembered how good this ice cream was. I had not been here for years to current until this past Monday morning. I had been craving a waffle cone with chocolate ice cream. Well, the store had opened but the doors had not been opened yet due to the employees were sitting at the front of the door having a store meeting. At my arrival they opened the door to the facility and let me in where a young lady employee got up from her chair to meet me as I had to walk around their chairs to the ice cream display inside. To my horror this place did not look as I remembered it. All of the ice creams were slushy and melting on top. But because of my great craving for the chocolate cone I asked about a fudgy chocolate ice cream, however the employee said they didn't have, only regular chocolate, but she could add fudge to the cone. I decided to decline and take the regular chocolate instead. So I ordered a small waffle cone with REGULAR chocolate ice cream. I had expected that the young lady would have dug deeper to serve me ice cream that was solid and not running and melted. However, she still did. She gave me a very small scoop which I could barely see at the bottom of the cone drippy and sitting there. I was very disappointed 😞 to say the least. The ice cream was barely a mouth full and the small come seemed gigantic in comparison to the little melted mess at the bottom. After I got it I paid for it at $7.85 cents. I NEVER BEEN SO DEEPLY DISAPPOINTED. I HAD TO EAT THE MELTING MESS QUICKLY AND THROW AWAY OVER 3/4 OF THE CONE BC THERE WAS NO ICE CREAM TO EAT IT WITH. I LITERALLY ATE 3 SPOONFULS AND THAT WAS IT. I TOLD MY HUSBAND I HAD NEVER BEEN SO DISAPPOINTED IN A PURCHASE AS THIS. AND HE AGREED . I TOLD HIM THE NEXT TIME I'LL GO TO BASKIN AND ROBBINS FOR ICE CREAM. I'M SURE ANY PLACE IS BETTER THAN HERE! I had such a horrible experience at this location. My cousin from out of town had never been to a cold stone location we looked on the website and it showed that this location closed at 9:30pm. I drove 25 min to this location. I do understand due to Covid, hours may very but that was not stated online like other places. We arrived at 8:50 and saw because of guidelines only 10 people were allowed in the store so we waited outside for about 5 min waiting for someone to come out allowing room for us to enter. This location decided they were closing at 9 we were in the store about 5 min before they decided to close. When in line someone had told us they weren’t serving anymore people and was in the middle of telling us it was okay when a younger lady with short brown hair came up and said we aren’t serving anyone else because we close at 9. We explained we had been waiting outside for free space to open up in the store and she stated well you aren’t being served tonight. It was a bad experience for the people I brought who were experiencing this for the first time after I had just raved about how cold stone was the best. The customer service was horrible and if she would of approached us with more respect we would of been in a different situation. I was super disappointed and have never experienced such disrespect. This place used to easily earn 5 stars. Once every 5-8 weeks my husband and I go and create our own quarts of delicious ice cream. Everyone is usually super friendly and customer focused. Today, January 26th. 2019 at approx 9pm I had a very unsatisfactory experience.

First, ahead of us was 4 orders for what i can assume were delivery or call in orders. All 3 employees were focused on thatproject as the line grew and grew. They all felt very rushed and the ice cream we received showed. I spent $35 including a tip and it wasn't until I got home when I realized that my order was completely messed up. We order 2 "ours" sized ice cream. They both were barely 3/4 full and when I went to dish up a bowl of ice cream, it turns out that there was a massive air bubble at the bottom turning that 3/4 full into 1/2 full (and that's being generous)

While eating the ice cream I started noticing that there was random toppings I didn't ask to have put in there... chocolate chips, walnuts, Graham crackers.... that's when I realized that there is no way they scraped the plates before they put mine on there.
