Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Lakewood

I recently had a horribly negative experience at Chipotle's competition, Qdoba. I was craving a burrito again and decided to go back to something I KNOW would hit the mark: Chipotle. The burrito was just as good as it's ever been. I'm not sure where they get their tortillas from, but they're the best I've had! They stay soft and chewy. The chicken is SO TASTY! And they add a really good amount of shredded cheese. The staff was good. I gave them a 3 because no one did anything over and above. They provided general, standard, good customer service. Nothing negative, but nothing outstanding, either. Also, there was music playing, but it was coming from the back of the store, like it was an employee's bluetooth speaker or something. It wasn't overtly loud, but it also wasn't music suitable for any restaurant. (Think Green Day-style music.) After a little while, I did notice faint music coming from the speakers in the main part of the restaurant (Billy Joel's 'Uptown Girl') and the music coming from the back was blending with it, making a discordant atmosphere. Kind of annoying... Overall, it was a satisfying visit. I'll go to Chipotle from now on - screw Qdoba. (Or I'll go to Taco del Mar... they're still a favorite of mine...)

One more thing: when I was writing this review, there was a section below that asked "Which dishes do you recommend?" Strangely, 'burrito' wasn't an option. They had 'burrito bowl', (and 6 other specific 'bowl' options), but not burrito. That's what I had, that's what I get, so that's what I would recommend. Why won't you let me...

🚨🚨NEVER ORDER CATERING 🚨🚨 never ever order catering from chipotle. it’s sounds fun for everyone to have burrito and chip as i did but this is 100% a bad idea. not all people like beans or they are lactose intolerance issues as well so i was told to call their online support to make the changes for the burritos with no cheese or beans etc… so i made the changes for the needs of our guests and non of them were met, not one. when you order ahead you pick up order the day of. so when i went to pick all the so called regular and special order they were in a box all pack up with my chips and salsa and i was like this is gonna be great everyone at my daughters 16th birthday will be happy but as i said non of my requests were met. it was really embarrassing for my daughter on her special day with wasted food because of allergies to cheese for some people not wanting beans. when i contacted chipotle customer service it fell on deaf ears with no concern to try to make things right or anything. when you go to chipotle you can see what and how they make it. when they try to be cheap with ingredients you can ask them to put in more but when you lose the ability to see what goes in you will be taken advantage of. the rice to protein ratio would be funny it wasn’t at the expense of my daughter’s 16th birthday party. i will never eat here again because of their lack of empathy for their gross incompetence and negligence. there are plenty of small mexican restaurants that will...

Normally everyone here is really friendly so this is not a blanket statement but I was treated poorly here today because of a medical condition unfortunately. Although I’d rather not share this publicly, I suppose it is important for context to mention that I have bad morning sickness, migraines, and other symptoms since I am two months pregnant. I have been advised not to wear a mask because it causes my symptoms to worsen and makes me feel very short of breath/lightheaded and dizzy. I realize this makes a lot of people uncomfortable but a health condition like this does legally excuse me from wearing a mask in public places. Once my food was finished, I was asked to wear a mask and I calmly explained that I have a health condition and am not supposed to wear one (I didn’t want to go into detail so I left it at that). I could tell nobody believed me and they just kind of stared at me weirdly as if I was lying? Then tried to charge me for a more expensive item than I had ordered. After we had paid we were also told we had been charged for another drink. I don’t think I should be treated like this for a health condition that already causes enough issues for me. I am used to people being rude about it which is unfortunate, but it seems kind of petty to charge me for more items, not to mention...
