Dave's Cosmic Subs — Restaurant in Lakewood

I called 5 days in advance and ordered two trays of sandwiches for my daughter's first birthday party. I always get trays of Dave's subs for any parties I have and they always receive rave reviews.

I needed to pick them up at 9 am on Saturday and the employee reassured me that that was fine. I have done the same in the past for parties and it was not a big deal, someone was there with the subs at 9 am. This time however, there was no one at the store nor did they answer the phone. I was left with no food for a birthday party that started at 10 am, for which I had told all the attendees I would, as usual, have Dave's Cosmic subs bc let's be honest...we all need a little motivation to go to a one year old's birthday party at 10 am on a Saturday morning.

I haven't received any follow up from Dave's since this occurred on Saturday. Going forward, I will gladly give my money o a more deserving business in the future.

Edit to add: Again, there was no one in the shop and I was there for several minutes at the appointed time. I called several times until 10:00 and there was no answer, and I wasn't on my phone other than that since I was at my child's birthday party, so I don't see how you could have gotten...

I've only ever had good experiences when coming to Dave's Cosmic Sub's. This location (Lakewood) doesn't sell French Fries but I'm not complaining. I came for a sandwich and that's what I got! On too of that they have a few tasty Vegetarian options to choose from. This puts them ahead of Subway and other sub-sandwhich competition.

I always say that Dave's is better than most other places because they choose to season their food. All the sandwiches I've ever had have been seasoned and have a unique Davey flavor!

Great place to come. They do large orders too, so if you are on a small film set and need to fill a decent sized order with tasty subs (Wayy better than Jimmy John's) then please come here. Your crew will thank...

I ordered a #28 hot. My husband picked it up. Not hot cheese wasn’t melted and missing items. I called and they said they would remake it. Then my husband goes to pick it up and they want to charge him. Girl never said that on the phone. I call them and owner asks what I want and tell him the problem all over again. Mind you it’s almost 3:30 and I haven’t eaten lunch yet. My husband got frustrated that they were giving us such a headache. Good customer service is making an order right and if you don’t, remake it! And don’t try to charge the person. Shame on the owner!!!! I will...
