Warning: My review may be very long! MUST READ IF YOU ARE VEGETARIAN OR VEGAN! I got a recommendation for this place from my dad, and I decided to try it out. Walking in, I thought I would just eat a pita and hummus plate for dinner, maybe a salad (which I personally hate). However, I was totally wrong!! There's a little more variety than that! Our waitress was very helpful on all options they had. We have a very confusing diet since we are lacto-vegetarians(vegetarians who choose to not eat eggs, but NOT vegan since they drink milk), but the waitress was helpful even though I assume we must have confused her quite a bit. Cheese is not truly vegetarian, because it has animal enzymes and rennet, but if you aren't that strict, than go right ahead for all the cheese items, and vegetarians will have plenty of options! If you're vegan, don't fret, there may be a little less, but they are very helpful with modifing foods if asked. You can order the falafel plate, but ask for the pita to be substituted with cucumbers.(if you say ur vegan they may just do that automatically). Also, get rid of the rice(it has chicken broth) and replace it for the tasty lentil soup, which is vegan. Since the falafels are vegan, you can order a falafel burger and ask for the feta to be left out and the buns are replaced with lettuce so it's a lettuce wraps.(to be clear, the falafels are the patties). And as long as the base isn't cheese or meat, it can be substituted or omitted. If you are vegetarian, you should possibly try the flaming cheese, that comes with a live demo! Vegans, just have fun watching the demo... We can't order that. Of course, if you are health conscious and actually like the taste of salad (I hate it), then go ahead and get a falafel salad minus feta and put in oil instead of dressing, and ask to substitute in hummus instead of dressing. If you have a work meeting here(like my dad who recommended it), or your friends decide on this spot for a meal/party) or you just crave some falafel, you won't leave hungry, like you might at many restaurants! If you read all the way to here, thank you, and I hoped I helped you, especially if you may have been worried on what you would eat. It takes a while to write such detailed reviews, so I wholeheartedly thank you if you were so kind as to read through the...
Read moreFood was good not great but service was terrible. The kleftico special has a velvety texture but I can't get the taste (almost bland expecting a distinct flavor). For that, I thought of a need to have a dipping sauce for their roasted potatoes. If you give a feedback, it may come bad on a bad mood server. I should have informed him my comments earlier and not after eating.
It is our first time eating/dinner here. The reviews entice us to dine. No que. We got seated quickly. Our server asks for drinks and we go for glasses of cold water. (We want our palates to taste the dishes that's why we go for plain water). But I notice something, tiny bit light brown piece floating on the iced water of my glass.
No menu is available so we ourselves need to Google their website menu. We struggle with our server as he was asking for our order and not helpful about what they offer. So comes David, maybe a cook and server wearing checkered long sleeves and not like those in plain black attire, got us through with saganaki (we described with flames) and I love the olives. Then David offered and we got two of their Friday specials kleftico, and 6 pc lamb chops. The buttery rice do have a tiny blue cellophane.
The server came back to ask us for desserts and we said no. I pointed to the blue thing and the floating one on water. He took the plate and left and did not even say sorry. He did not ask if I wanted a new glass of water or if we wanted our check or anything else. But he did say that I could ask for a new glass which seemed like rude to us. (At this, we lost our appetite for desserts and for trying other drinks.) We were left out waiting.
I finally stood and asked the lady standing at the entrance for the check. She quickly went inside to get it, handed it to us and got back to her post. Not sure how to pay, I went inside where the payment machine was and there was this big guy who received my card payment. We chatted. He offered to make up but I said thanks. I gave a tip...
Read moreSo first time dining in here and it was okay! The greeter was really nice and so was the manager. I liked how she walked around checking in to see how we liked everything and even told us what kind of things they offered at their restaurant on certain days. Like; I think its 50 percent off and buffet style on Sundays and Kids eat free on Tuesdays. She gave us a complimentary lamb chop to try and was just pretty amazing! The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because our waiter started off rough, she was rushing us to the point to where she took my moms order for her appetizer but not mine, she came back and when my mom asked her a question she answered and then rushed back off I had to say "I didn't order mine" and I just didn't feel at ease. Usually I would have complained but my two year old was already overdue for nap time, I wasn't feeling good and I was just exhausted. Not only that the managers hospitality saved it all not even realizing how we felt. Our first waitress out of no where seemed more patient and answered all of our questions to the best of her knowledge and our second waitress I think her name is Eerin slam dunked the rest of our visit. My son was being a total 2 year old and she made me feel so comfortable even when I...
