Gregorio's — Restaurant in Lakewood

Terrible owner and food. My mom and her friend (both in 70's) went here and ordered 2 meals and 2 drinks (drinks were suppose to be buy 1 get one free). Upon getting food they tried it and both meals had tons of fat but the meat was old and chewy. They each only took one bite before calling the waitress. The owner came over, grabbed their plates took them away and slammed the ticket on their table and told them there is nothing wrong with his food and to pay and get out. They were not given an option of a replacement meal and he told them they had to pay for both meals and both drinks and wouldnt honor the coupon. He was yelling at them and aggressive. Both ladies were scared at this point and wanted to pay for both drinks and leave. They ended up calling the police to escort them out as they were terrified of this man. My mom knew the police couldnt get involved in civil matters. She called them only to walk them out as they were fearful. They did pay the full ticket of $49 for 2 watered down drinks. This man basically committed theft on 2 elderly ladies. Ive never heard of a restaurant doing this. Its not like they ate the meal then said it was bad. They literally had one bite. So this man 1st off had low quality food, 2nd would not make a complaint right (inflated ego?), 3rd intimidated and terrified elderly women, 4th does not honor his own coupons and 5th stole from customers. The most upsetting thing was his aggression and humiliating two friends just going out to have a nice lunch. I had to leave this review! I’m so excited! 🤩I always order; I guess in a complicated way? I order my breakfast burrito smothered in extra green chili, a side of rice. I also love their Pozole! I don’t love the meat that’s in it. I know that’s what gives it that wonderful flavor in the broth tho. I placed my order on the phone for pickup to go. I asked if they could leave the meat out of it. I like just the broth & hominy, with onions & lemon 🍋 I also love chips & salsa. Gregorio’s son took my order this time. Usually he already knows it and tells me what my order is. I assume it’s on his computer. This time he didn’t. He listened to me and when I got home I was elated! Everything was perfect! I felt I actually got what I paid for! My way! I almost forgot to order my onions, but he asked me and I said, oh yes, I would like the onions! I’ve been a customer for over 30 years. I’ve come to know Sandra, Alturo, Monkey & the beautiful woman that always cleaned, I think she went back home and isn’t there anymore. I do more take home orders now. Anyways, I’ve always loved the people and the food. It was so nice to get my order right. Exactly the way I enjoy it....

lol this is not authentic Mexican food. Take the time to travel to Chubby’s on 38th and Lipan. Went there today, and ordered Horchata. It was chunky, warm and very unpleasant to look at. It had a very bad taste to it and ordered a coke that came out warm. I ordered a bean burrito for lunch. The beans were tasteless and watered down. The chili was also tasteless so I attempted to put the salsa provided with the chips and that did not help for flavor. The pork they placed on top was cold, salty and chewy (must have been a week old) or so I’d guess. My wife ordered a torta. When it arrived, it was wrapped in foil. When she opened it, the “Bread” was soggy and the inside was dripping With water (or something flavorless). She attempted to eat it but again, HAD NO FLAVOR and was tasteless (re-emphasized). There were more onions then, “Fake meat” placed on this dish. After the unsatisfaction and not eating all our food (I’d say about a quarter was eaten) we decided to leave and not take our left overs.
