Free sandwich with first Freaky Fast Rewards purchase
I've been on a Jimmy John's rush for the past few weeks. What initially led me to my local Jimmy John's was an advertisement for their $3 Little John sandwiches. These are mini versions of Jimmy John's Original sandwiches. Needing some cheap & portable grub, I ordered quick & easy online using Freaky Fast Rewards to earn a free sandwich on a future order.
Look at the size of these sandwiches! How did I get all that for $3/each (no tax)? Simple! All the options which were available & not an additional charge, I asked to be included or for extra to be added. Sprouts - check! Grey Poupon Dijon mustard - check! Sliced pickles - check! Extra oil & vinegar - check! Make the most of what's given to you. Story of my life ;p
Provolone & avocado From the perspective of an omnivore leaning heavily towards carnivore, Jimmy John's provolone & avocado Little John was very good! I honestly couldn't tell I was eating a veggie sandwich.
Salami, capicola & provolone My favorite. Plenty of meat & cheese with all the accoutrement for the bargain basement price of $3. Yes, please!
Hunter's Club unwich For my free sandwich, I went with the Hunter's Club. It is double the roast beef & provolone of the Big John. This behemoth was snugly wrapped in lettuce & I had a hard time devouring each delicious bite, as I ordered everything available that's not an additional fee to be included/extra added. Hunger conquered!
Service was great. Ordering online/thru the app was a breeze, and my sammies were within my grasp before I knew it. More sprouts on the side? No prob! A few tables and some stool seating, Jimmy John's is a more grab n' go spot, and not for large groups.
Located next to Jamba Juice, and east of Chili's, Jimmy John's is across Candlewood St. from the Lakewood Center.
I may be a Johnny Come Lately, but I'm now a Johnny Come Often, for Jimmy John's is awesome! $3 is a tremendous deal for the Little Johns, especially the way I order them, via the user-friendly Jimmy John's app. Cheap, delicious grub? Count me in!

Read moreJimmy John's is an odd place. It looks like an East Coast sandwich shop, with brick walls (or brick looking walls), funny signs, and a at least 1 table that had the look of using repurposed materials. My wife and I shared a #9 which was an Italian sub of some kind. It was a little smaller than I was hoping it to be, especially since right next to that group of sub choices ($8.49), was a menu for 8" subs for $5.99. I didn't see the difference. Anyway, the sub tasted really good. They prepare their sandwiches similar to Jersey Mike's (I bet they love hearing that comparison), where the meats and cheeses are fresh sliced for each sandwich. It wasn't very busy at dinner time, although I imagine that a sub shop is MUCH busier at lunch, so it didn't take long for our order. Now the reason my rating isn't at least 4 stars is more the logistics and service and the ordering process. I'm not going to expect red carpet treatment at a quick-serve sub shop, but the young woman at the register had no personality and I wasn't even sure after I swiped my card that our transaction was complete. I wasn't asked for my name or given an order number which also confused me. I wasn't sure that our sandwich was ready until I heard "Italian Night Club!!" yelled out by another worker. The only thing I asked for different than how the sandwich appears described on the menu was that the hot peppers be put on the side. They were. I was happy to see that my order was correct. So, while I wasn't blown away by my experience here, I wasn't disappointed or given reason to never return. I'll consider Jimmy John's for lunch some weekend...
