Master Pizza — Restaurant in Lakewood

I ordered delivery. The gluten-free detroit style pizza was off the charts delicious! I've been diagnosed celiac for 20 years. So trying to find pizza out in the world is always hard. But I was desperate for comfort food after a long week of classes and far from my own kitchen. I knew I was flying home the following day, so I figured what the heck. I'm so glad I did. The dough was like biting into a cloud of deliciousness, topped with a simple yet bright red sauce. The mozzarella and provolone mix was well balanced as well. First time in ages I've had pepperoni too crispy and not super greasy. I added spinach and mushrooms to round it out. My first bite was heaven. The texture, mouth feel and flavor was a master class in cooking. I felt like I was back in Italy picking up a Sicilian slice from the street vendor. The salad was a little heavy with meat and cheese but the lettuce was some of the best I've had as well. I ate it by the handful and it was Devine. I've been in the food business low end to high end for 30 years. These folks are worth the expense if you want a clean and bright mouth filled delight! Run don't walk to get...

I just paid $20 for a small calzone. It comes with 2 items and warning....those are sauce and cheese. Additional items are $1.75. I ordered chicken,spinach,artichokes and mushrooms. It BARELY had anything on it...all bread. Total waste of money for a shoddy product. As you can see I got assurances from owner regarding the 2 toppings included not being sauce and cheese and telling me someone would contact me. Well, I was charged $16.48 which is just shy of $17 . They are so generous to take off 52 cents for my additional toppings aside from sauce and cheese. No contact from anyone as well, and I paid for delivery. Thanks for price gouging and selling sub par food.

Dear Masters Pizza, It's been a month and no one has contacted me to set up a credit....I assume this is a falsehood you give to all the people who write bad reviews. Bad food, overpricing and false...

Update: owner replied to my review saying they'd make up for it with a free meal, I reached out and they didn't even reply so let's add bad customer service to the list of negatives. Also tried this again for pizza week - still DISGUSTING

So baaaaaad! We ordered a pepperoni pizza and an Italian sub. The sub was ridiculous! No Italian dressing at all but yet somehow it was super soggy. It had chunks of tomatoes instead of slices. And instead of lettuce it was like a bag of salad so there were carrots and cabbage too. That does not go on a sub! I had to pick it all off because half the lettuce was bad anyway. The pizza was undercooked and way too much sauce. Like globs of sauce were leftover on the plate after. We will not...
