Safeway Deli — Restaurant in Lakewood

Had the worst experience at the deli. There were five employees working in the deli and only one of the employees were assisting customers. Mind you the other four were in the back having personal conversations. The line was about five people and we had been waiting for assistance so I spoke up the second or third time of saying something I shouted so they could hear. Hey is anyone going to be assisting customers? I get a eye roll and a " being rude doesn't get you service around here and some other stuff murmured under her breath. When I said ok I'll just go speak to someone else about this. The woman scoffed and said "ya you do that." If you were paying attention after the first or second time I wouldn't have had to shout to get your attention. The deli staff is so unprofessional it's nuts. Customers should always come first you are not paid to stand around and talk about your personal issues. The manager was very polite and addressed the issue immediately which is highly appreciated. The Safeway deli in Lakewood is not as good as the one in Steilacoom. We love their sandwiches on the 3 pretzel buns. In Steilacoom Deli the meat is stacked high on each sandwich. The Lakewood sandwiches you are lucky if you get one thin slice in each sandwich., and it’s the same price.
