I have ordered food from here more than 95 times. In that full time only 10-15 times the food was edible. Every time either the food is less, undercooked, no utensils, etc. Today, for the Tofu bowl, the Tofu's are literally raw and very very very unhygienic to eat as it smells too. No purple cabbage provided and all other veggies are stale. Finally again no fork, tissue nothing is provided even if I wanted them. If only I did not have dietary restrictions I would have never ever ordered from this place ever again. Here is the picture of today's raw uneatable Tofu bowl. One more review within the same one for today (05/30/2024). Ordered the same food big Tofu bowl and paid $22.31. My bowl is not even half full it is even lesser than a medium size bowl and no one helped. Also, some of theTofu pieces are raw not sure if it was forgotten to be in the oven. Had to starve thoroughout the night. Adding picture (the second one) for reference. Another one on 06/10/2024 undercooked and low amount of TOFU along with no fork or tissue provided (third pic). Thank you for the reply expected a better food this time but same old thing repeated. Stale veggies, very very old chewy Tofu and the bowl was not closed properly and open on one end. (4th pic 06/15/2024). Finally this time the food is not only stale but rotten at the bottom mostly the bell peppers. Total waste of money. One more uneatable order the 5th picture, stale, absolutely uncooked and raw, old Tofu exactly like rubber (06/23/2024). The last order from this store was on August 31st. I never ever will order again and the food was really nasty this time. Chewy old tofu at least a week stale veggies and all of them were microwaved such that it feels fresh. Water was dripping out of the food indicating bowls were made earlier and frozen for days. Just thought as I was emailed from this store that things might have changed and improved. But just added another pic and paid $19.22 for three side orders or Tofu only. The Tofus are totally rotten and it is at least 2 weeks older. Also the quantity is so less that I am unsure if this food is even worth$10. No tissue, fork, nothing was provided. Not sure. why did I even think to reorder even the sides. Check the end pic with three empty boxes of 4-7 pieces of rotten Tofu.

Stopped in for a quick solo dinner after having had their lunch catered a few times. Food options were plentiful, with something for everyone. Once at the counter I opted for a DIY poke bowl with Salmon and Tuna. All of the ingredients were fresh and tasted great. The "Traditional Hawaiian" dressing is definitely mis-named and has plentiful chili-flakes if you are not expecting it. The fish was good, though probably prepped a little too large. I finished off most of the primary ingredients maybe half way through. Service was a little slow, waiting nearly 20 minutes for dine-in and nearly completely empty. There were a ton of to-go orders rolling so possible a combination of low staff and huge volume. A decent stop in for a traveling dinner if you are looking for something a bit outside the normal "corporate dinner" spots near hotels.

I went in to order a take out poke bento box for $16.40 plus tax and tip. What a disappointment. I paid for avocado as part of main entree and there was none. I ordered spicy aioli sauce and got that terrible Hawaiian sauce with nuts. The side of veggies was pickled (yuck) cucumber slices with shredded carrots. Service was prompt but not helpful. I asked about sauces, drinks and such, but cashier had no idea how to answer. On brighter side, restaurant is clean and welcoming. Have a kid’s menu and there’s ample free parking.

EXTREME GREED/SHRINKFLATION

Buyer Beware!!!

One of the most EGREGIOUS GREEDFLATION and SHRINKFLATION culprits I've seen yet, and we all know they're everywhere these days. But Tokyo Joe's takes it to another level. It's all rice in your poke bowl!

I even paid extra for added avocado (two MILLIMETER-THIN slices of avocado), extra for spicy tuna and crab salad which were literally MELON BALL TINY, but there was still nothing in my $20 poke bowl! I paid for full portions of tuna and salmon and they were MEAGER as heck.

I fully-loaded all other toppings but what was on the thick brick of rice in that bowl? A SURGICALLY PRECISE IN ITS DECEPTION, evenly-distributed layer of toppings the WIDTH OF MY THUMBNAIL! If the bowls were clear and I could see that, I would have never taken it from them and requested my money back.

They WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY to spread it as thinly as possible overtop the rice JUST ENOUGH TO COVER THE RICE so that you can't tell until you sit down and start eating it.

I used to really like coming here as an option for poke. I knew I was going to pay an arm and a leg for some poke, but I'd be happy eating it and leave full. This time I felt deceived, exploited, taken advantage of, and still hungry (am I supposed to eat 2 inches of pure white rice?).

I hope the extra dollar they made off me by deceiving me is worth my never coming back, and sharing my negative experience with everyone when we're trying to decide as a group somewhere to get lunch at.

If you get annoyed when you go somewhere where they just consider the customer as a target to take money from, instead of a fellow human being that ought to be afforded a modicum of decency, that makes no effort to even pretend to care about you, and who instead looks for anywhere and everywhere they can cheat you, DO NOT GO TO TOKYO JOE'S.

Tokyo Joe's is another Chipotle-type business trying to con you and take advantage of you.

Recommendation: Stay away.

Old review when I gave it 4 stars: Fun Asian fusion. Good poke. Appreciate having a wide selection of Asian fusion. Ingredients pretty...

I ordered on DoorDash and got a Bento box with poke (customized) edamame, California rolls, and pot stickers. Every part of this box was messed up in one way or another. Mostly in small ways so I usually wouldn’t say anything but the poke I made customizations to was there basic recipe and none of the customizations were honored. The harm in this is their original recipe has macadamia nuts. I chose to order without the macadamia nuts because honestly I hate them but I worry if it was someone else who was allergic that they could be in serious danger. I would consider this an accident but I just can’t justify that I also asked for no onions and a completely different sauce on the poke and all three of these modifications were ignored by accident. I have worked in the food industry plenty before so I understand how one modification can be over looked by accident but a list of three or more is impossible to miss unless done on purpose. I honestly feel like either it’s because it was a delivery order and they thought it wouldn’t matter or because they have been aloud to not care at all, they don’t seem to care about modifying their food in any way for their convenience. I hope they change this for the safety of...
