Max's Donuts in Lapeer is truly a treasure trove for Donut lovers. From the moment I discovered this place, courtesy of a coworker's recommendation, it has become my go-to spot for a delightful treat.
The staff at Max's Donuts epitomizes friendliness and helpfulness, making every visit a pleasant interaction. The warm and welcoming atmosphere immediately makes you feel at home.
The star of the show, however, is undoubtedly the donuts. Each one is a masterful blend of flavors that tantalizes the taste buds. I've been a patron of Avon's Donuts in Pontiac for years, but I must say, Max's Donuts has surpassed them, and by a considerable margin. Every bite of Max's donuts is an indulgence, a testament to their superior quality.
The location is also a plus for me, being conveniently close to home. This makes it an ideal stop for those on-the-go mornings or when I need a sweet pick-me-up.
A word to the wise, get there early. Their offerings are so popular that they often sell out fast, a testament to their irresistible appeal.
My journey with Max's Donuts is far from over. I can't wait for my next visit and will continue to recommend this hidden gem to anyone with a penchant for delicious donuts. Max's Donuts, you've certainly set...
Read moreOn 11/15/2023, I stopped in Max's doughnuts to get some doughnuts. I entered the store and there was about 6 people waiting in line to place there orders at the window. After about 5 minutes it was my turn to place my order. I started to place my order, when a older gentleman walked in and got in the back of the line. The female behind the counter stopped waiting on me and got some doughnuts and place in a bag. Then she called out a name of Mike, the older gentleman who was standing at the back of the line. He walked up paid and left. The female behind the counter, then went back to my order. I then told her never mind with my order and left. What made that older gentleman so important, the owners felt compelled to make the rest of customers in line wait. I'll never go back to Max's doughnuts ever again. I'm going to tell as many people as I can, that a paying customer rightfully in line after waiting his turned had to wait so someone else could get special treatment. Think twice before going there, they have no CLUE of properly conducting...
Read moreI have a love for doughnuts, clearly a little too much. I grew up in Dayton Ohio on Evans Doughnuts the apple fritters were the best 40 years ago... They are gone but still Max's Doughnuts has them beat! Max's actually have the best doughnuts I have ever had. Seriously they beat out my former favorite Golden Doughnut in SCS, MI and my former #2 favorite Knapp's in Rochester, MI. Here's why: Max's donuts are consistent in size and they're cooked fully and perfectly not too much. They are iced or frosted perfectly not too little not too much. They whip their frosting so it is nice and fluffy too. The iced coffee is clean, full, flavored, creamy, and again not too sweet! Also the cup isn't full of ice like many other places. The Thai iced tea is also amazing and my personal favorite. I am so glad we found them on Facebook and we will be back! We've made the trip 3 times already. Everyone there is super sweet and fast.
Well Done Max's! You are officially now the best doughnuts...
