Good food. Good service. NOT 5 STARS, but a solid 4. I ate a late breakfast (around 9:30) and it was crowded whenI walked in. They put me in the back room, which was surprisingly quiet. I was actually impressed with how quickly they served me and brang my order considering the number of customers. The food (steak and eggs) was cooked exactly as I requested it. The portions were not very large, but as expected. Prices were reasonable but not as cheap as some reviews make it out to be ($4 for a large glass of orange juice isn't cheap). If the portions were larger or the prices slightly lower I could have easily given five stars. But five stars, in my opinion, should be reserved for places that get it all right AND 'exceed' reasonable expectations for some reason most reviewers think five stars are deserved just because a place doesn't screw things up (places that are a bit better than average do not deserve the exact same rating as places that completely excel). The staff here, all of them, that were on hand when I went in definitely deserve credit for cooking the food well and quick and...

Love the food, service is shameful.

Tuesday brunch time, not crazy-busy:

After the initial "sit where you want" we waited for 5 minutes before getting our menus or being acknowledged. Then we were rushed to order as soon as the drinks were brought. Server seemed annoyed that I wasn't ready.

The food came in a timely & reasonable fashion, but the server left our empty drink cups ignored for the entirety of the meal, we waved her down and asked specifically for a refill.

Shortly after the refill we wanted the ticket & a go-box, after waiting & growing frustrated by feeling ignored I chose to go to the register, I was over it & tired of being looked over.

The server made a silly, lighthearted comment about us not being able to leave & I replied with a "guess not" but it was an uncomfortable experience & the comment was too little too late to make little jokey-jokes. I really wanted to leave her a fantastic tip since I only treat myself every-so-often & I've waited tables myself. I think we'll find a different...

Extremely cozy, but busy diner. I was fortunate enough to get a seat immediately on a Saturday morning at 8 am since I was solo, but it was packed.

The smothered breakfast burrito was delicious and filling - the options for extra proteins are extremely affordable so I’d suggest getting double or triple protein if you are hungry. I was going for a hike after, so I went with the single protein to not be weighed down.

Staff were super friendly, and good at navigating the small space with large quantities of food.

Only issue I had was checking out at the front. It took almost as long to pay my bill as it did to get my burrito. With the influx of people coming in to put their spot in line, people ordering takeout, as well as people trying to pay and leave - I can’t help but think there could be a better system in place to help out...

we were traveling through yesterday morning after a cross country drive from california to home (michigan) and decided we needed a breakfast. we are so glad we stopped here! my husband got the 3 french toast with a side of sausage and it was plenty enough, and i got the “tower”. both were AMAZING. our waitress did well for clearly being busy (we didn’t catch her name, she was wearing glasses). i got strawberry rhubarb pie as well and it was SO good. we took everything with us that we couldn’t finish and warmed it up about 13 hours later when we ended at our airbnb, and it was still amazing! what a great little local diner. we can understand why people were waiting outside for opening! 10/10 recommend! definitely go here if you are passing through on I-80! *picture is of “the tower” ! also, GREAT prices!!

Please follow us on Facebook and Instagram at SNDTRAVELS and EATWELLTRAVELOFTEN 2.23.23 So, I tried a place festured on Guy Fieri's DDD back in 2021. It's a tiny little Cafe downtown Laramie. I tried the chicken fried steak sandwich and tots. The steak was tender and crispy, but I don't believe it was made in the house, just a pre froze, drop in the fryer. Having said that, it was enjoyable, just not special. The tots were not made in house either, but I was fine with that because I happen to enjoy that type of barrel shaped tot. Good and crunchy. I understand their cinnamon rolls are exceptional and they did look homemade and yummy, I just didn't have room. While it what I had was not homemade, it was good for what it was, and I would do it again. Recommended!
