And yet another Burger King that lost my business. I walked in this evening since my work truck is too big to fit through the drive-thru. Stood at the counter forever with no one paying ANY attention to the people at the counter. I had some questions but couldn't get anyone to assist me. 3 people walked by the counter and not one stopped to see what I needed. Since I couldn't get anyone to assist me I put on my Burger King crown and became an employee and ordered something myself at the screen next to the register.. paid for it myself and then wanted a printed receipt. The only options from the kiosk were a digital receipt by scanning a QR code or no receipt at all. No option to get a printed receipt. Waiving my hands and calling out made no impact on the two employees who looked right at me from the back of the store. Finally got the drive-thru person to come over and get me a printed receipt. I asked how come no one pays attention to the counter people. Why does no one say Hi or Welcome when we walk in. Her answer was that they are busy. Too busy to say Welcome to let a customer know their business is appreciated? You don't have to stop what you're doing to look over and say "Welcome to Burger King". You greet the drive-thru people, why not the walk in people? 3 people walked by me and not one greeting. Her answer was that one of those people had already clocked out. So why didn't I get a greeting or assistance from the other two? No response, and she went back to helping the more important people at the drive-thru. I was given my cup only to find out the soda machine was out of ice. Once again I couldn't get anyone to pay any attention to me at the counter to get a drink. Finally after my food was ready I asked for a Diet Coke. My soda and bag with my order was slide across the counter and she walked away. Once again no "Thank you", "Have a nice evening" or ANY kind of comment to say thank you for coming in and spending your money here. I guess only the people in the drive-thru are deserving of attention. Two other people came in after me and once again no one greeted them. So far two locations have said that they've been informed by corporate that they are not supposed to help walk-ins. Walk in patrons are supposed to use the kiosk ONLY and that they (workers) are to concentrate on the drive-thru customers. So apparently it's true.. the drive-thru customers ARE more important than those that walk in. There are plenty of other places I can go and spend my money.. places that greet me with a smile.. take my order and thank me when they hand me my receipt. Why should I come here? If they don't appreciate my business, why should I care about theirs? Don't know who the franchisee is for this location, but if it's Glencoe then I'm not surprised of the poor service... so far every Glencoe franchise I've visited has had the worst service.. and the two locations that told me that corporate instructed them not to help walk-ins, were from...
Read moreI went to the Burger King located on 6091 N Decatur May 21, 2016 at approximately 12:15 AM. When I drove up to the drive thru window I noticed the person at the register was wearing the plastic gloves for preparing food. I paid for my order and was given change. I watched that same person make the Whopper still wearing those same gloves contaminating not only the Whopper I ordered but cross contaminating the lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and everything else he needed to touch for preparing the Whopper as well as the fries. He put the Whopper in a bag along with the fries then he removed the gloves. I told him I just watched him prepare food using the same gloves he handled money with which is a health code violation. I didn’t take the food, but did get my money back. I told the worker I would be reporting what I witnessed to his Manager and the Health Department. I called Burger King later that morning and learned the person I was complaining about was the Night Shift Supervisor. My concern, if the Night Shift Supervisor doesn’t care or follows health safety protocol I wonder if that is the normal practice of the staff at that particular Burger King. I’ve had too many incidents with this Burger King location where they forget to put cheese or bacon on the burger or even the correct number of burgers or fries in the bag. The contamination of the food with the money was the last straw. Find another Burger King that adheres to the health codes and can get the order correct...
Read moreI happen to love Burger King. Although for the 3rd straight time in a row my complete order was wrong. Upon entering the dining room the staff was already upset because the door had not been locked. Flag #1. I ordered 2 2 for 5.99 meals all whoppers, 1 16 piece nugget and chicken fries 38$. Flag#2 I asked for the whoppers to be fresh and was notified the broiler was being cleaned @815 pm. Flag#3 no lids for the beverages where 76% were out in the guest machine I was given cold chicken nuggets and saw some coming out and asked for them to be replaced which was done with attitude. Then asking for condiments for the nuggets bbq and ranch they were out of smh Upon arriving home which I live 4 min away and distributed everyone there mismarked whoppers because every one of them was wrong I called the store. Explaining the situation the shift manager jeneva said I can bring it back I asked if the broiler was back up? She said 20 more minutes on top of the 20 min wait inside and that she would only replace the burgers or I could be put in the book. At that point I was upset even more I managed a Burger King for 2 years in Missouri and I know this isn’t standard practice for managers and supervisors. Corporate or owner information is not being provided either any help would be...
