What's going on, Freed's? I went to your Aliante store on 6/29. Two nice young ladies waited on me. Both were friendly and polite. I brought a friend and we both ordered cake slices šŸŽ‚ (Wedding/ Shortcake/Blackout) and several cupcakes🧁. The cupcakes were the worst. All of 'em tasted frozen/thawed and day old - "not" freshly baked. But, it's the whipped frosting on ALL our items that was the disaster! - What did you do? What happened? The "whipped cream" frostings all tasted oily and greasy.šŸ˜– That "version" of whipped frsting ruined my experience!! Is this only at your Aliante store? Are you sending your "day old"/unsold items from Henderson up there? If so, it tastes like it! Your customers can tell, especially those who are bakers, too! I've gotten better tasting baked goods at Sam's/Costco/Albertsons/Smiths - and their cakes aren't $6.00 per slice or $3.45 per cupcake!! Sorry Freed's... I expected I'd be giving you a great review. I never expected such poor tasting baked goods when I brought my friend. Neither is it what I expected when I paid your prices...I'm sorry I did both!!šŸ˜”

I have wanted to try out this place for quite sometime. I decided to stop by this weekend to sample a slice of cake and possibly purchase a birthday cake next month. When I walked in, immediately I saw rows of cakes and cookies on display. The display cases were fully stocked so I took my time and looked over all of the selection of goodies. As I looked on there was a girl at the front counter, she didn’t say anything she just watched. It would have been nice if she had asked if I needed assistance or if I was looking for anything in particular. She began talking only once I asked about what the most popular cake was. She was friendly but I feel like customers should always be engaged when entering a business. I purchased a slice of cake to go. I decided on the strawberry shortcake. It was neatly packaged in a narrow box that held the cake upright. I would say overall the cake was really good. It was moist and the whipped cream was perfectly sweetened.

Browsing at my local Best Buy in a nearby shopping plaza today, I noticed that this Freed's Dessert Shop location had opened a few businesses further down and popped in to have look. While all the featured desserts - artistically beautiful in their appearance - are undoubtedly delicious and well worth the price, my main complaint is that I was expecting something more - not just this small outlet store. I have long wondered why Freed's bakery - or for that matter Great Buns (near Tropicana & Pecos) - does not open a full-size, full-service bakery somewhere in this growing part of the Las Vegas Valley. It really is a significant inconvenience for those of us who live out here in the wild and woolly northwest to travel way down south to frequent their sole location(s). I usually do not do so and simply end up purchasing most of my baked goods at the consistently high quality, in-store bakeries available at all local Smith's supermarkets.

Hello. I came here recently to buy one of your star shaped cookies and I have noticed two employees bullying an employee of brown hair and blue eyes. One of the name of maglie. I noticed she yelled at the other employee for some reason. I left without even thinking about coming back. I came back here though again for my mother as she likes your wedding cake but I caught one employee named chloe sitting around on her phone while disrespecting an employee of blue eyes. I think this employee's name is Michaela or Marisela. Im not entirely sure. However I thought it was really rude of her to be on her phone while this other employee was working hard making sure everything was in order then had the audacity to tell the blue eyed employee that she wasnt doing anything! This is horrendous and absolutely saddening. I hope both of those girls recieve some sort of discipline, I've been here for awhile now and I have never seen this happen but ever since this new person came to work it seems like it became "lets bully the new employee until she quits" festival. Im so dissapointed. Really, this is such a good store too! If it were me, I would fire the girls who are causing problems and keep the one with brown hair. It seems like that employee is the only one with a positive attitude and tries her best instead of the others who do nothing, are rude to their coworkers, AND give attitude to customers or make faces when they dont know what to get (an elderly couple came in and one of the girls made a face while the elderly were choosing a pastry and had trouble, then came in marisela (or michaela im sorry I dont know her name) and treated them much better and was so much patient! I rather have someone treat me with such a beautiful smile than have a girl be on her phone, roll her eyes, sigh, groan, throw things with attitude, be rude to her coworkers, say they dont do anything, be impatient, etc. I have always thought "teens will be teens" but no, this is a true act of hatred for no reason. No only that, i asked a friend to come in so she could taste one of your cakes with whipped cream frosting (i believe its WC frosting) and she calls me saying that she hopes the two employees mentioned recieve, and I quote "suspension or a talk from their parents. They smelled like drugs or didnt have good hygiene and one looked like I just burdened her with the biggest task on the planet. I only wanted a cake. Instead I got that and I was looked at like I was some homeless man on the streets."

Edit: I let the my disgust get the best of me so I took out one thing. However I still wish this employee recieves a raise or something for dealing with a coworker...

Place definitely has great tasting cakes, but.... our experience ordering from the North Decatur location was just awful. The person who took our order last month seemed totally clueless as to what she was doing and what should have been a 20 minute order literally took an hour to complete. We wanted 2 simple cakes. No frills, very basic. First, we were told that we couldn’t order the Parisian Chocolate or the Wedding cake... only what was on the tablet/kiosk screen. I asked if we should fill out the paper order form because it listed the flavors we actually wanted, but she responded that we could only order from the computer. We ended up ordering different flavors so we could get the side piping colors customized to red, blue and yellow. After several tries on a tablet, she processed our order without providing an email or text receipt and had to call the main bakery to make sure our order was received. After that, we still didn’t have any form of receipt. On the day of the party, they delivered a cake with one of the names misspelled. Not only that, but the piping colors we wanted for both cakes were also incorrect. It was too late for them to fix it as all the delivery people had, apparently, left for the day. I was on hold on the phone and couldn’t wait for a baker to provide me with a solution on how I could possibly tweak, at least, the name so I had to resort to just scraping off all the writing. Definitely won’t be going back. The bad customer service last month and the wrong colors were extremely irritating, but I let those slide... The misspelling of a simple name just did it for me. Please hire...

I ordered a cake and the rep Jessica Bryant confirmed with me 3 times the pick up location on decatur. I got a confirmation email confirming the location as eastern. I called in and they advised me it was to late to switch the location to decatur but I can pick it up the next day (the day of the party). I said ok and wanted to register a complaint. Whoever I spoke to said she can take it down. I went to complain and she said it was my fault for not reading the email in time. This is by far the worst customer service I received. It feels like I was talking to Jessica Bryant again due to the response to my compliant being defensive. The woman literally said the only thing I can tell you Ashlee is that it is really important to read your confirmation email. How is that the way to respond to a customer complaint. I will be speaking to a manager when I policy the cake up on Saturday. She could have easily said we do apologize for the inconvenience we assure you the cake will be at the decatur location Saturday for your pickup. I would have accepted that and used your service again. Instead you responded to me by saying how it's my fault for not reading an email. I wish I could type out the whole encounter but it's too long. The cakes look great so I wont discredit the company as a whole but please ensure your not talking to Jessica Bryant when using their services in the...
