This review is coming from a genuine place. Yesterday was my birthday (04-18-2016) and I really wasn't up to having a sit down dinner and we are on a budget. So being that we pass this place everyday going home I figured we’d try it so I spoke to my husband about the beef roast that they had described on their menu and the strawberry short cake. So we decided it would be a nice dinner to have at home. So we placed our order online through "Snapfinger" we ordered the above items times 2, along with an appetizer of the trio deviled eggs. When we picked up our order the waiter stated they did not have green bean (this was one of the side selections when I placed the order) so he named off the other items mashed potatoes (I stated that already comes with the meal) and broccoli and I don't eat broccoli. I asked if I could have a side of salad & he said no those were my only options so I declined on the options given but thought a few pieces of lettuce & a sprinkle of cheese in a small bowl for a salad wasn't a whole lot to ask for but what do I know. We did let the waiter know that this was our first time eating there as we did not know about the complimentary bread so he said well let me get that bread for you and try to make this a good experience. Ok so once home, I & my husband settled in to our favorite TV show and dinner in hand. I poured the gravy over my roast and potatoes without tasting it first as most red wine shallot sauce we've tasted before was good however, this one was not so much. The wine was quite apparent and overwhelming. So that threw off my meal because I kind of ate around & picked at my plate then said well let's try the trio deviled eggs. First bite & I thought "disgusting” not necessarily because of the filling but the egg white had a really bad taste so I just called it quits at that point and went downstairs to fix me some cereal. My husband's first problem was that there were some red dots in his potatoes so he was turned off immediately. He then tried one of the trio eggs and he said the same thing. Needless to say we spent $51.00 plus a tip of $5.00 for a meal that was overall just not eatable. My husband later tried the strawberry shortcake & said it just was not good. I don't even want to try mine just because it's not worth my taste buds being upset. We are from the south so having beef roast is not something new nor deviled eggs and strawberry shortcake so our palates would know a good cooked meal and it was not this meal. I was so upset afterwards because it was my birthday and I felt like we wasted $56.00 I just went to bed. I would give no stars if I could but you know how it goes. Purchaser beware. Maybe their sandwiches are good but I won't go back. Thank you...

Mimi's Cafe' is a casual chain restaurant that offers a blend of French and American cuisine in a rustic-inspired setting. During my recent visit, I had the pleasure of trying their Salmon Benedict, and while the overall experience was positive, there were a few noteworthy points to mention.
I found myself at Mimi's Cafe' under unfortunate circumstances, as a family member was in the hospital. However, the service at the restaurant was fast and efficient. Despite being newly opened, there were only a few patrons present, including myself and two groups of four people. The attentive service ensured that my order was promptly taken care of, allowing me to have a satisfying meal without any delays.
The Salmon Benedict, one of the menu highlights, was a flavorful and enjoyable dish. The combination of tender salmon and perfectly poached eggs on a bed of English muffins made for a delightful breakfast option. The flavors were well-balanced, and the dish was prepared to a satisfactory standard.
Moving on to the dessert, I opted for the CRÈME BRÛLÉE, a classic French treat. While the custard itself was decadent and creamy, the caramelized sugar topping could have been slightly warmer to provide that desired contrasting texture. Nevertheless, it was still a pleasant way to end the meal, albeit without reaching the level of impression I had hoped for.
One thing that caught my attention at Mimi's Cafe' was the extensive menu, featuring a variety of enticing options. While I couldn't try them all during my visit, the menu items looked appealing, leaving me with a desire to return and explore more of their offerings.
The standout aspect of my experience was the friendly and cheerful waitress who served me. Not only was she attentive and efficient, but she also had a pleasant demeanor. Her genuine smile and upbeat attitude created a welcoming atmosphere, and I enjoyed engaging in light-hearted banter with her. The positive interaction added an extra touch to the overall dining experience.
In conclusion, Mimi's Cafe' provides a cozy and inviting environment to enjoy a blend of French and American cuisine. The Salmon Benedict was a tasty choice, and although the CRÈME BRÛLÉE could have been slightly improved, it was still a decent dessert. The expansive menu offers a range of appealing options that warrant a return visit. Above all, the warm and friendly service, exemplified by the lovely waitress, enhanced the overall dining experience. Read moreThis place is SO cute from the outside, but when we walked in the hostess seemed cold and glared at us, wide-eyed, for a while before seating us. It felt pretty strange. Our server seemed nice enough, but I saw another server who was smiling and enjoying talking to her customers. I wanted that server instead, lol... The food was ok. My salmon was almost a little dry, but the dish as a whole was good. However, my husband's crab cake Benedict dish left a lot to be desired. The crab cakes were falling apart, the English muffins were NOT toasted (and when they're not toasted, they usually taste raw or doughy) plus they were dry, there wasn't enough hollandaise sauce on the eggs, and the potatoes (home fries?) were bland, dry, and a little cold. I personally like my home fries a little crisp, but they were kind of sad (I tasted one). The atmosphere was nice, and I loved the decor. The bathroom sinks looked gold, and it was clean. We didn't try any desserts or coffee since we were full, and I'm wondering if that's what regular customers like, especially after we saw a large table get seated. We probably won't go back unless my husband really wants to try their pastries. I'll have to see if they have any desserts that are gluten & dairy free, but there may not be any options. It was a little disappointing, especially since this location...
