7/19/25 Providing a new review would not do this justice so I felt I needed to edit my current review. Third time is a charm. I took my daughter to celebrate her promotion at work because she’s been wanting to eat at Norms again as she loves the food. The whole experience was 1000 times better from the staff interaction to the whole vibe and attitude of the staff. It was somewhat busy but everyone was helping one another working as a team including the managers and all were in great spirits. As below I previously indicated the manager was not helpful nor supportive of her staff….the whole different experience today proves attitude and performance reflects leadership. The kitchen staff was working well together soo much so you could hear laughter. The front of the house also worked as a team including the manager helping seat, serve and even clear tables. A large party of nine arrived and there was no panic no stress everyone pulled together and work together to make sure there was support and that party received good service and a good experience unlike on my previous visit where the large party caused chaos and stress for the staff. I will definitely return after the experience and service we received today.
4 months ago. This was my second time visiting this establishment. The first time was shortly after the grand opening so expectedly there was some issues however, this time I took my entire family and I spent $157 and left hungry. My meal was horrible raw baked potato replaced with an over done potato 20 minutes after receiving my original meal, cold veggies. The gumbo had zero flavor, two of my party had pancakes but had to wait 15 min for syrup. The waitress was doing her best but the manager was zero help. The kitchen staff was obviously having issues keeping up with orders as there were two other tables that had issues with their food near me as well. When I went to pay for the check the cashier asked how was everything and I explained my displeasure with the food a second time and that this was the second time all she said was "oh my that's not good". Spending $157 and leaving hungry is insane. The manager heard my issue and ignored the situation and walked away she was rude when we arrived and zero help when there was issues. She did not support her staff at all. Very doubtful I will give this place a third try.

Read moreAfter a long day of Voting and other errands on our day off. We have planned this dinner at Norm's for a long time. We visited the one in California on our Honeymoon in 2017. And we loved it. So when we seen there was a Norm's coming to Vegas we were very excited! We got there and we checked in with the hosts. They said it would be a 15 to 20 minute wait. No problem. And we know and understand about restaurant openings. My husband was a chef and did set up and openings for restaurants in his prior profession. There were a few people who walked out that had been waiting way before we were. So I had to give my phone number to the host. So some time went by and I was hoping while we were sitting waiting that I did not miss the seating text. Even though we were right by the front door. ( Where the cold air kept coming in while others were going in and out.). Totally not Norm's fault about the cold weather. Anyway I went up to one of the host and asked him if they will be sending a text or will they let us know when we will be seated. I was only asking so I did not miss the text if that is how it worked. He said we are not seating now because the kitchen is being slammed. I said okay no problem. I just want to know if you will be sending a text or telling us? Now it is just my husband and I. A party of 2. There was a party of 5 that came in about 10 minutes after we did. The other host comes up and gets the party of 5 and seats them!???? So I said to the other host what just happened? He said oh we cannot seat anyone because the kitchen is slammed. And I said she just sat a party of 5 and they came in after us. And we are a party of 2. And you said the kitchen is slammed. Okay. So I seen a Server and I said what is going on? I explained to her what happened and she said just have a seat right here. I said okay. So my husband and I ordered our meal. And when our food came his bread did not come with his meal. And my Maple, Bacon, Pecan Hotcakes were missing the Bacon and Pecans. So our Server went into the back and brought out a small bowl of Bacon and Pecans and asked if I wanted her to put them on my Hotcakes. I politely declined. And she said now make it pretty. She also said that the bread was in the window. It was not. They did not make. Then my husband asked the Server for more Tea. She took his almost empty cup and poured it into his new cup. She had my respect and lost it with that move. So when we go out to eat it is always the food for my husband that determines if we go back or not. For me it is not about food. Being in customer service for most of my working life it is ALL ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE! And for me this was not 5 Stars. It was a 2. But even though items were missing off my meal and my Husband had to wait for his bread the food is outstanding. And like a say I understand that this was their soft opening but I feel that it was a miss for me. We will go back because my Husband...
Read moreUPDATE Great service and great food on this visit! The country fried steak was perfect, some of the best we've ever had. The grilled trout was huge, and delicious. The BLT was also very good. Jessica did a great job serving us. Nice interior with good lighting. Clean bathrooms. Overall, we're glad we came back and didn't order the steak lol
OLD (near opening) We were seated after about 10 or 15 minutes, waiting inside on padded benches. Our server was difficult to understand, especially with all the loud crowd noise and the loud music playing. He also had a rather difficult time understanding us. That resulted in our orders getting wrong and mixed up. He never asked my wife what kind of soup she wanted with her meal. We kept having to ask him to repeat things, and he kept asking us to repeat things . My wife was served a dish that she did not order. My son was served a dish with an overcooked steak. When they brought my wife's steak, it was also overcooked. Both of the steak plates we ordered were served with fries, when they were both ordered with baked potatoes. But, when they brought us replacements, the baked potatoes were hard as a rock. In fact, one of our forks bent because we tried to put a fork into one. So they offered us mashed potatoes to replace those hard baked potatoes. We opted for the mashed potatoes, but we had no idea those would be served with dark gravy on them! But, they were still good. My wife waited an extremely long time to get her replacement steak, which was nearly cooked properly. Unfortunately, the quality of their steak is lower than low. I would never want to eat anything like that again in my life. In fact, we all left most of our steak on the plates. These were New York steaks, which are supposed to be good. They tasted like chopped and formed meat, almost fake, like there was gristle mixed in with meat and then formed into a steak. It was horrible! Probably lower than commercial grade, who knows? I'm even suspicious of the origin, possibly not even being beef! That's just my opinion. I have nothing to back up my opinion. No matter, that's how it tasted, fake; not even close to real. They were, by far, the worst steaks we have ever been served in the entire area. My son never did get his vegetables. The only reason I'm not rating this visit one star is because the shrimp, soup, salad and mashed potatoes were all good. Actually, my turkey sandwich was pretty good, too. However, I did have to ask for mayonnaise when it was supposed to come with it. This whole visit was nothing but a comedy of errors and mostly terrible food with spotty service. I can't think of a reason to risk coming back to this place. At least the manager took 25% off our bill after we asked for an adjustment. Maybe we will wait several months (or several years) for them to get things straightened out before we return, if ever at all. Even the interior was blah. I expected more decor, a better feel of the old days. It was...
