This location used to be wonderful. Every customer was treated with respect, and the food was great! But this was before the shutdown.
This visit was the first time I had been physically inside since it opened. And this experience was the exact opposite from the service I had in years past.
I expected a long wait. Didn't mind that part. But I was given only part of my take-out order because the fish taco wasn't ready. I had waited 40 minutes, and I'm still waiting for a fish taco? After another 10-15 minutes, I was still waiting, and my food was getting cold. I had to raise my voice after being ignored three times to call for a manager. I was lied about the manager not being there. And the cashier was really rude! And when I got home with lunch for my family, we didn't even finish everything because not only the food was cold at this point, it didn't taste as good as before.
But what upset me the most was the obvious prejudice that was there towards all the non-hispanic customers. The old crew like I had previously mentioned were great. This post shutdown crew is horrible!
I'm not calling the restaurant since I know the manager won't talk to me since I don't speak Spanish, I will find out who to call to file a formal complaint!
If your are not Hispanic, don't go to this location. There is a taco truck near Mojave that serves better tasting food for a cheaper price, and offers much better customer service without...
Read moreTo give Pepe's Tacos just five stars feels like an injustice. If I could, I'd give them 45 stars for their exceptional food, incredible value, and consistent quality. This place is a Las Vegas institution for a reason. Let's start with the food: authentic, flavorful, and generously portioned. The carne asada fries are legendary—piled high with perfectly seasoned steak, rich nacho cheese, and a perfect blend of toppings. It's a full meal that could feed two, and it's easy to see why it was voted the best in Las Vegas. For taco purists, the street tacos are a revelation. Whether you go for the succulent carnitas or the spicy adobada, the meat is cooked to perfection and served on fresh, warm tortillas. The condiment bar is stocked with fresh salsas and toppings that add the perfect final touch. Service is fast and friendly, even during the busiest hours. The fact that it's open 24/7 is a gift to anyone looking for a satisfying late-night meal that's a massive step up from fast-food chains. This isn't just a restaurant; it's a dependable, delicious cornerstone of the community. Pepe's Tacos delivers a fantastic, authentic Mexican food experience every time, and that's worth more than five...
Read moreI ordered the Super Burrito that comes with carne asada, beans, cheese, lettrce, tomato and sour cream andwith med. drink. Online it's 4.95. In the store it's 9.99. Pandemic has caused price gouging everywhere so I kinda get it. 5.04 increase (more than double) that's a bit extreme. But everyone told me try Pepe. So I pay. My burrito came with rice and very dry and chewy carne asada. No other toppings. Didn't even get my medium. Didn't even remember the drink part till I got home. Had order 69. Order 66, 67, 68, 70. Then my order. Asked for 2 bags; the lady behind the counter got so rude. Asked for salsa and the grilled peppers. Explained I had 2 orders going 2 separate places when I asked for the bag. She gives me 1 side of onions and peppers. I ask for 1 more; explained again. She gives me a tiny side order. While shouting over me not even acknowledging my presence to order 71. Who inconveniently took 30 seconds to come get their order (mind you it's the last customer she has the place is now empty) and she screams at him "you said for here; you gonna eat here, or you need it to go; this is your order". I will never go here again....
