I recently moved here in May and have been to this location maybe 7-8 times. I do mobile and I walk in and pick it up at the counter. This location and a location in Pembroke Pines off Pines Blvd are the two coldest environments I have ever walked into and I have been to Starbucks locations all over Florida and in other states. In all of the visits except for one which I will talk about in a moment, there have been at least 3-4 employees behind the counter. I always pick my orders up very early in the morning so the store is never really busy. I say Good Morning every time and they all look at me with blank stares. I say Thank You as I walk out, they say nothing. As if I was privileged to have been allowed to have been served by them. The attitude is one of âGrab your coffee sir and begone, I have more important things to do.â Today 8/31, I placed an order to pick up at 7am, there was nobody in the store or at the drive thru, and I walked to the counter to pick up my order and I said hello/thanks have a nice day to the barista. She looked straight at me as if I wasnât even there. Her expression was as if she was thinking, âsir, I just make coffee, I donât have to interact with anyone.â Well, yes you actually do. You work in the service industry, and before you think I donât understand what itâs like, I did too. And I would never ignore a customer who is right in front of me. Everyone deserves respect, and thatâs a bare minimum requirement of your job to greet and welcome customers and create some type of welcoming atmosphere whenever you can. Yes, when itâs busy sometimes thatâs hard. But you try, and you do your best to make customers feel appreciated. They donât here. Except for the one time a couple weeks ago on a Saturday when I picked up my order and they had written Have A Great Day and Have a Nice Weekend on my cups. And the employee behind the counter, who I had never seen in the store before, greeted me AND said Thank You as I was leaving! I was shocked. Was he a district manager there for the day to try to breathe some common courtesy behavior back into this store? Well it didnât work because the next few visits, including today were business as usual with the same awful atmosphere. I actually used to train customer service and I did secret shopping for companies as well, and as a service employee you never really know who is shopping in your store or who you are serving, so you should treat every customer interaction the same and make an effort each and every time. Also, I would add that I always leave a tip in the app even if the service is the minimum one would expect. I have not left a tip in the app on any visits here except for the one visit where someone actually acknowledged my existence. And if you are going to put out a tip jar, at least do the minimum things in your job that would warrant you having a tip jar in the first place. We all know the world we live in now isnât perfect, and everyone is busy with their own problems and issues. But just make an effort. It doesnât take much, and you might even make someoneâs day or they might...
Read moreI ordered coffee in the drive-thru. The person got it wrong. I caught it as I was pulling away from the speaker and I corrected them when I got to the window. She paused as if she was fixing my order. What made me realize the order was wrong was because my daily price was different. After she acted as if she fixed it I asked if the new price was what I knew it should be and she nodded. I grabbed my coffee and pulled away after paying. I tasted it at the next light. It was not right. I drove back and went into the store. I walked to the end of the counter and no one there would acknowledge me. I probably should have gone to the register first but I walked in with a Starbucks cup. Maybe there is an issue? So I jumped in line behind two people. As soon as it was my turn the person behind the counter turned around to grind beans. I was the last person in line and I was holding a Starbucks cup! Maybe there is an issue? I waited and when the person took my order to replace my coffee they did not holler down the line to rush the order. I stood at the end admittedly getting upset. I walked to the register again where the person didn't turn from grinding beans. I wanted to talk with a manager but I saw my order coming up and decided I had to go. In my head I'm getting angrier and angrier. I worked retail and I'm still in customer service in a way. You have to be able to read a situation. I walked in with a cup. A regular throw away cup. Not one you refill. Someone should have noticed it something was wrong. Whether it's the people at the end of the line or the person at the register. Was it the time to grind beans?! On top of all this as I was leaving out of the possible three doors I chose one that was locked. In fact out of the three possible entrance or exit doors only one was open. I know Starbucks is insanely busy but my Starbucks at home is very pleasant. In fact most are. It is insane how pleasant the employees are in such a stressful situation. I will not be going back to this...

Arrived at Starbucks at 550am this day and walked up to the normally open doors and to my surprise there was an employee taping up a new schedule,,so,, I waited there until 6:11 in the morning !!! Feeling stupid i checked what day it was & yup its (Wednesday) ,,,,, in the morning and both doors are completely locked!!! So the associate was putting new signs on the doors that state ""sorry we missed you"" and had new store hours which also indicate they would be open at 5:30đ€Ż I tried knocking on the door all they did was look at me and continue to ignore me the sad thing is I'm here for somebody else being a nice person and fulfilling somebody's Uber order,,, But no worries I'm gonna wait with a smile đđđ Another 14 minutes go by and one of the workers tells I think the shift manager who was in the back who is now sprinting to the door I'm at to tell me undoubtedly to go away or go drive-thru ----- but as she approached i caught her attention and pointed to the only order just sitting there on the counter acting with hand movements that the order is for me + believe it or not she goes and grabs it and brings it right to me N proceeds to tell me that the inside will be closed until further notice because a few employees came down with c19 and to my wonderment i asked her why didn't the sign say that, instead all it said is drive thru is open ,,, nothing about the dining room being closed !!! So upon her final conclusion she realized that the sign needed correction,, I haven't been there so I don't know if it's different Fair warning...
