Mango's Grill Restaurant — Restaurant in Laurel

This was my third time to the restaurant. The food is so good and hearty that you can't help but sit and eat until you are good and stuffed. I wanted to take pictures, but was side tracked. I sat near the "drink area" on this visit. The staff were incredibly polite, and totally helpful. The food and the service are what keeps me coming back. However, on this visit I noticed a roach crawling on the wall. The waitress saw the same thing. I got the attention of the owner and he tried to get it, but didn't succeed. I wanted to leave! The manager wiped the bar table down and kept it moving. I was still contemplaiting leaving. Once I got my food, it was great, but I didn't quite enjoy it like I should have. I then saw that the bug was crawling on the counter. I tried to kill it, but was slow getting up. The manager came over again and cleaned the table after killing the roach. I was ready to go. I think he noticed it, and brought over a piece of "Tres Leche" cake. I did eat it because he asked me to try it. I thought they would have taken the check and comped me, but only gave me the cake. Oh, the cake was great! I have to really think about going back there. I hope they just do a better job cleaning and dealing with the crumbs that were all over that table. The food and service were great. I was very turned off by the roach. I didn't even make a scene. Please clean this place so people can keep enjoying your great food! I absolutely adore Mango Grill! It's not just my favorite, but also my friend's go-to restaurant, especially since she's a vegetarian and Mango's offers some great options for her. Despite being a small place, the warmth and dedication to service make it stand out.

The staff at Mango's are incredibly friendly and attentive. They strike the perfect balance – you never have to wait too long for someone to check on you, but they also give you space without hovering. And let's talk about the menu – it's a delightful mix of dishes. Whether it's the flavorful Carne Asada, the comforting Sopa de Mariscos (seafood soup), or the satisfying vegetarian fajitas, there's something for everyone.

What's even more fantastic is how accommodating they are to those with service dogs. My friend and I, both with service dogs, often bring another friend who also has one. Mango's has this perfect large table in the corner where we can comfortably sit without inconveniencing servers or other patrons. Over the past 10 years, while some places left us explaining service dog laws for what felt like an eternity, Mango's staff and owners have consistently welcomed us with open arms....

I am a huge tres leches fanatic and so I have high expectations for how this dessert should taste. This was by far one of the best tres leches cakes I’ve ever had. I ordered a large order as a birthday cake for my sister @rachelamandac and she loved it! The cake order even came with whip cream. You can bet that I’ll get a cake order again the next time I need tres leches for a party.

The next day I had to try the rest of the menu out. The steak tacos were yummy and I would order it again. The fresh guacamole was a great touch. The tortillas were not dry. And the rice and beans were 🤤

I was super surprised by the salad. For the price and the amount of steak you get, I’m impressed. And yes I loved the fresh mango 🥭.

My only regret is that I did take out. I love the music and the environment at the restaurant itself. The staff are very nice!
