I placed an order for 4 pizzas and 2 orders of breadsticks on the app. A couple minutes after I placed my order I received a call from the location. The person on the other line said I am calling concerning your pizza hut order. When I said ok he proceeded to say you have to either pay over the phone with a card or wait when you get here for your order to be made because with such expensive orders we will not touch your order until you pay for it. In my opinion $80 is not an expensive pizza hut order as my family regularly orders this much or more at our local location. Needless to say I was so unnerved by someone calling demanding I give them my card number over the phone I cancelled my order and chose to get food somewhere else. To make things worse, I received a survey request from pizza hut about my experience. After expressing my concerns with someone demanding my card information over the phone and the way they addressed me with "we will not touch your order until you pay for it" instead of explaining they have a policy the requires payment in advance I received a response via email.... want to take a moment to thank you for sharing your feedback. At Pizza Hut, we value your feedback and the time you took to share the details with us. I do want to stress that all orders over 50$ have to be paid for in advance to prevent fraud/theft. This is this stores current policy. So, with that I am told that obviously they don't listen when customers speak and instead of addressing the issue of the way their employee treated the customer they just want to say that their policy is payment in advance on orders over $50. Y'all - We jumped on the BOGO topping large pizza. The owner of this location should have been prepared.
NOT! We did not call an order in; rather choosing to use the Internet. As senior citizens, we have adapted to our grandkids world (sadly enough). We wanted "contact-less" service - meaning that you put your car information in and within 15 minutes it would be cooked. And, where to put it in your car: back seat, trunk, etc. Wonders, you just drive up and it's in your car within moments (Carrabba's Italian Grill had perfected this decades ago).
Nothing happened in the fantasy that was described. After ten minutes after arrival, I called from the parking lot of the Pizza Hut I was at: to kindly let them know I was parked outside.
Oh my word --- if some females with a challenging understanding of the English language answered: TWICE. Why twice? My overseas connection dropped. I always hated calling overseas. Had problems even back in the 70'ities.
Finally, leaving the phone calling overseas on my car's Bluetooth, I grabbed the walking cane and went inside. Only to find one young lad doing his best. Two other gentlemen were waiting. No one was eating in the dining room. The business was empty: just us four.
My anger quickly faded. It was not his fault. He pulled my pizzas out. I walked out.

We were the only table seated in the restaurant and there were five employees present. While pleasant initially, our waitress could not seem to separate herself from her telephone long enough to enter our order correctly or service our table. we did not receive breadsticks until questioning their absence, and then, 10 minutes after we were already finished eating. We were never checked on by our server & received no drink refills.i had to go to the counter to get refills, our ticket and our to go boxes while the server maintained her telephone usage. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to tip as well as I always do because our lack of service was due to server choice & not to understaffing. I still left a tip but I don’t feel like it was deserved.
