This was our first visit and we are locals. Prior to entering we looked at the menu and I was very excited. I’ve lived in LA and spent a great deal of time at the Korean restaurants on Western Avenue. I had high expectations.
The menu prices are intimidating at first. But don’t worry. You can order from the lunch menu at all times of the day. There were three of us, and we ate a HUGE meal at only $64, before tip.
We had two rice dishes, egg rolls, one Thai iced tea, and a dinner spicy pork bulgogi. The amount of sides, that are refillable, are super high quality and fresh. We ate enough for me to worry about our stomachs later, but we had no issues. No indigestion. It means they make this fresh, with very good ingredients. The kimchi, the daikon, the pickled radish, cucumbers, onion and jalapeños, and the other sides were excellent.
Trenton was our server. He was very attentive, humorous, and knew the food very well. When we go back, we’ll be asking for him to be our waiter.
The grill was replaced twice as I cooked my very large portion of spicy pork which also included enoki mushrooms and sliced yam strips, sesame oils, a sweet oil, and bean powder.
Thank you for being a high quality restaurant. The restrooms were exceptionally clean. The owners spent a great deal of effort, on their own, making this restaurant with their own hands.
If we had one recommendation: the music needs to be replaced with something less abrasive :) We know K-pop is part of the dining experience, but it’s not...
Read moreWe LOVE this place!! They’ve really tried to cater to the surrounding community. The different menus available with cheaper prices are great! We love the to go menu and food bar. Plus, the snack options to buy at the front are awesome! They remind us of when we were in Thailand! Suggestion, if you don’t know what it is, just look at the photo and try! You most likely won’t be disappointed! Try different things outside of what you’re used to, that’s what life is all about!
I have to mention the bathrooms here. They are literally the CLEANEST bathrooms I’ve witnessed and experienced here in Lavonia. Not to mention the baby changing station is actually at a good height where I’m not bent over backwards like every single other one I’ve experienced!! PLUS they are the only place here in Lavonia that actually have a car seat holder for the table!!!!! With the owners being foreign, they really cater to babies and children so much more than Americans and you can tell by these things I mentioned! We’ve travel to other countries and they are the same way. America needs to take notes. I hope the community supports this place more because we’d be sad to see it ever...
Read moreMy sister and I are foodies and we love e to visit Korean restaurants specifically for the KBBQ (Kalbi). We are excited to have a KBBQ restaurant close to home as we drive pretty far to get us some good KBBQ.
This restaurant is currently has a soft opening and are still training the wait staff and figuring things out (they even have a sign outside the door stating this - love transparency). I would say they did a really good job with us today.
We had Payton as our waiter, if he couldn't answer a question, he would ask and get the answer. He checked up on is very regularly and we appreciate his attention and customer service.
Tin, Chen and Quinton were also wonderful. They had good banchan and the meats were tender. We receievd a decent amount of food for what we ordered (LA Ribs), An Dong style Ribs, Chicken Wings, Vege Wontons). They came with miso soup, egg soufflé, cheese corn, assortment of banchan and sauces. We had 3 teenagers who really enjoyed the food as well.
Please support your local restaurants and give them grace as they are new to open.
We will be back with the rest of the...
