Time to throw back some love. For everyone who knows me, I am not skinny. I love food and in all shapes, sizes, taste, and so on. This is a passion. Me and my son usually try to try at least 1 new restaurant a month. Usually off the beaten track. Some winners, some losers. some real loser's. You will never know until you at least try. To my large surprise I have found what I consider the best Thai food in Utah after being back for 12 years. Only seconded to my favorite Thai food restaurant on Orange County. Their name is Thai Fusion. I almost didn't want to go because of the name. Fusion out here usually meant smaller portions, higher prices, and just OK quality. Three of the places we tried earlier were either closed on Sunday or not open until 4pm for dinner. This was a let's try it, I'm hungry moment. It's hidden in Layton in a kinda obscure location by the mall and AMC theaters. It was worth it. This was my best find in Utah in the last five years. * Five Star quality is a casual and affordable place. If you want to try a new date place or impress a new client with ethnic cuisine, this is it. It's not cheap, but it's not expensive. The quality and taste are out of this world and it's clean. Cant wait to go back. Large portions so a small group of 4 works easily. Each person orders a dish and then share with your friends. Every plate will have it's own unique taste. Thank you Thai Fusion for such an enjoyable experience. I look forward to coming back. Your now on my permanent list of...

Ok good welcome. The place was quite on a Friday evening.

We have eaten a Thai restaurant all over the world. So we have a pritty good baseline to gauge by.

I ordered: shrimp pad thai. I would give it a 7/10 Coconuts shrimp 7/10

Other guest order the shrimp noodles soup. This was ok.

My wife order: Thai red curry shrimp & shrimp tom yum soup. Both 5 star spicy.

We asked for the food to be brought out as it was made, as is done in Thailand. There where ok with this.

Where things went down hill was with my wife's food. Both dishes where very salty and not spicy. I know this because I can not eat spicy food and I tried it. I would have given it a 5 out of 10 on my lvl. They did try to accommodate.

She managed to eat a little with the rice. But she had to stop when her tongue became numb.

The waiter ask how the food was and my wife just wanted to point out that her food was to salty, with out that how could they improve. She did not ask for a refund or new food. The waiter said they will get the manager.

The manager comes and says that the food is not salty with our even trying it... She also points out that they do not put salt in there dishes... She was very angry shouting. I said "customer never right" she says yes customer never right back at my wife. What a joke! She went back in the kitchen where we could hear shouting.

The waiters seam like nice people. I feel sorry for the working under the management. Someone called...

BEEN WAITING FOR OVER AN HOUR FOR A TO GO ORDER!!! I guess it's because Americans love Thai food and there isn't much for options out this way. This place gets zero stars if I could. It's a Wednesday night, NOT EVEN PACKED and I've had to come in to order because their phone has been off the hook for hours. Stand here waiting for someone to acknowledge me and about ten minutes waiting I finally bring myself to the back and call them out. THE ONLY REASON I'M HERE IS BECAUSE MY PARENTS, they asked me to pick up a dish for them to try from here. I speak thai, order to the Thai owners and boy was that a joke so I tried again in English, this gets fun. My order gets put in and they ask what was in it twice, so I have to inform them again. While this is happening a customer that was dining in, literally walks up and complains he's been waiting for refills and his rice, he finally gives up and packs his stuff and leaves. Now as I'm waiting for my food there are people standing and waiting and actually walking out cuz this place is a joke. Food ain't even worth all this, I'd rather drive and dine in salt lake. Will NOT be coming back and if you like basic, guess this is the place for you. No thanks!! Overpriced for garbage and small portions and...

I've been here 4-5 times. Decent restaurant with a coulpe good items, but most are not great. Most things I've tried are very bland. Their Massamann and Pho are good, but the Massamann is often runny. Prices are too high for what you get. The display of the food is good, but food itself is not. Came here last night and I got the Pad Thai Chicken and my wife got the Thai Basil Stir Fry. But were pretty nasty. This place needs to focus on one type of food rather than serving mediocre Thai, Vietnamese and Chinese. Also, this is the straw that broke the camel's back.... They charge $3-4 for rice on to of the price of your entree!! That's right, you pay $13-20 for you stir fry, curry dusk and then $3-4 additional for rice! Never heard of such a thing! Who eats three discuss world rice?! When charge so much do a small, sending of rice that costs maybe 10¢ to make?! Food often a takes long time. Staff is often not friendly. Last night we waited 45 minutes at the table for my wife's meal. Mine came 10 minutes after her's. No apology or explanation. There are other great Thai, Vietnamese and Chinese restaurants around Layton. Go to one of them instead.

I came here to try their spring rolls, so I walked in and ordered take-out. The server was fantastic and very nice. I don't know if it was because I got take-out, but the spring rolls were very different from what I expected. The menu stated that an order of spring rolls came in a pack of 8, but the order I got came with two rolls that were larger than the box. Again, this may just be because it was take-out and not dine-in, so others may have had a different experience. Onto taste. Because they were huge, they were at least double wrapped and that made it hard to chew because it was thicker than a single sheet. This was my first time trying Thai spring rolls, and I have to say the herbs (mostly cilantro) were very overpowering. I would have liked it better if there was a little sprinkled throughout and not large stems full of leaves. But other than that, the taste was fresh and were fun to dip in once I managed to cut them into handheld pieces. The guy that helped me was great, so I'm sure dining in would be a better experience.
