Horrible customer service. I went to Thrifting Simply, the owner was the cashier. He rang up my order and I paid with Apple Pay. He said that the payment didn't go through and asked me to run my card again. I pulled up my bank account and showed him that the payment went through. He said that it didn't on his end and ran it again. He assured me that it only went through once and gave me his name and number and said that if it changed my account twice to let him know and he would refund the double charge. I was VERY PATIENT and understanding. I waited two days and both payments cleared my bank. I went back in and showed him my bank statement with the double charges. He remembered me and said he would take care of it. After waiting around for half an hour, he showed me the transactions and printed duplicate copies of the receipts. He said that they were the only ones that day with matching amounts, but that the cc #s were different so he couldn't refund me. I pulled back up my bank account and showed him the cleared charges and then he changed course and said he couldn't refund it without the receipt, even though he had the receipt in front of him and my bank account with double charges. He backtracked and lied to me repeatedly and made every excuse in the book to not refund my money even though he had promised he would. I asked him repeatedly what the solution was and he kept putting the blame on me. I don't appreciate being lied to and attempting to steal my money. Blatantly...
Read more10/10 RECOMMEND!!! I had to move to Utah suddenly, because of a family member’s health crisis. I left everything behind me and started fresh here, with an apartment to furnish, knowing no one. There are a lot of thrift stores in Layton, but this one is by far the best, in my opinion. Prices are extremely reasonable, the selection is good, and they are all quality items. Plus the people are exceptionally nice here. Not so much at the other thrift stores. I kept finding myself coming back here, because of the kind people. The cashier is so sweet and caring, she recognizes me when I come in, and asks about how my day has been, and how my family member is. The owner was kind, helpful, and accommodating, when I bought a large piece of furniture. He helped me load it, and was a complete gentleman about it, making sure he did the hardest part so I didn’t hurt myself. I furnished most of my home from here, honestly, because of the connection I felt with the people. I don’t “need” much, and have most of what I need now, but I come back to shop regularly, just because of that connection, and I like to say hi. Once the crisis is past, and I can move home, there will be follow up appointments here for life, and Thrifting Simply will always be a destination when I am here. Keep up the awesome work, Thrifting Simply, your kindness...
Read moreThis place is a Destination! Any time my car is out of the driveway, it ends up here. Several reasons, as described by nearly every other review: friendly, helpful staff, good selection and prices, sales, a dressing room! But mostly because they feel like family I only read about in fairy tales. I walk in in a bad/sad mood and walk out -with or without my latest good find - in a much better state of mind! Cheap therapy! (And I have something to show for it.) If I'm in a wired kind of mood, they laugh and play along. Not to mention that if I'm looking for something specific, they keep a lookout for it and point it out when I'm there next (which is probably tomorrow.🤣) My next plan is to get a few friends together for a "Thrift Me" run (Dollar Bin Day, buy clothes for each other, then go out in public wearing the outfits - after you wash the stuff, of course. C'mon... might cost $5 if you buy a bunch of stuff from the $1 bins!)
Come for the deals. Get the therapy...
