Pastime Saloon — Restaurant in Leadville

We arrived at about 7:15 after the LT100 mtb race. Only a few people in the whole place. When the waitress greated us, my friend jokingly said "you guys have the best cook in town tonight right?" Just being friendly. She replied that although he was 16, he was really great. That should have been our cue to leave, cuz as it turned out, the young woman who waited on us was literally doing everything. Waiting/bussing tables, tending bar, and running the kitchen. We felt bad for her. She was busting her butt with zero help on one of the busiest nights of the year. Poor management! The food was decent, typical pub food, but it took FOREVER! The people who ordered just before us waited a long time, ate and were leaving when we received the first tidbit of our order, which was the side for one of the orders The first 4 in our party received their order (not the one who received his side). The other 2 waited even longer. When their food arrived, the others were half done, so they asked for a box. All in all it was 2 hours to get 4 burgers, a pulled pork sandwich and some wings (and fries instead of a salad for one order). Totally do not blame the waitress, she was working really hard and was very friendly. The owners/managers need to step up the staffing. No wonder the place was deserted when everyone else in town was slammed...

I feel bad leaving this review, but I worked in food service for 6 years so I know this place is wack. To be fair, my chicken tenders and my friend's burger were pretty good. However, the fried pickles (which they comped for us) were falling apart, cold on the inside and super greasy. The fries tasted like cardboard with no seasoning and the coleslaw was made not with mayo, but with thinned out SOUR CREAM (and also no seasoning.) This was not noted in the menu and is not a recognized recipe for coleslaw, the waiter had to ask the kitchen to find this information out after I commented that the dish tasted extremely off. The waiter stopped by later and asked if I had liked the almost untouched coleslaw, I said "no" and he did not offer to switch it out or fix that. My friend is lactose intolerant and wanted to know if she could sub cheese on her burger for an equally priced item, but that couldn't be figured out. There was no soap in the bathroom and two of the lights were burned out. Me and my party of 5 were seated tonight at 5:40 and waited for 10 minutes before we even saw our waiter Brandon and it was not busy there was roughly 4 people sitting at the bar after we got our drinks we waited an hour and 5 minutes for our food all the time our waiter Brandon did not check on us once and did not get us drinks or let us know our food was on it's way. The food was over cooked and dry the drinks were good but when it came time for our checks each of them were wrong food and drinks were for incorrect people so he re did them. The entire time we were there it was clear he was super high and just not there and since we were a party of 5 gratuity was forced onto our bills. So long story short waited on a waiter for far too long during a none busy time, got wrong bills, and was forced to tip a combined total of 25 dollars to a waiter who did practically nothing to serve us. Brought us drinks once, took our order, and a different waiter brought us our food and Brandon did not check in on us once for the entirety...
