Wild Bill's Restaurant — Restaurant in Leadville

This is a disappointing review for me to write because I love giving old American diners 5 stars. Here’s the issue.

The menu picture on this Google listing is old, and of course, everything costs 20-40% more than what they advertise here and the link to the menu does not work. That’s false advertising. Too many businesses get people excited thinking the prices are great only to be disappointed when they realize it’s a lie.

Price: $24 for an overcooked flavorless double bacon guacamole burger, no drink, and sub par onion rings made in the cheapest oil money can buy. She asked me if I wanted to pay an extra dollar for cheese which is absurd. A slice of cheese even if they’re getting it from Costco and don’t have a better supplier is worth about 15 cents. How about you just throw a piece of cheese in there on the house?

I’m full but it tasted like it was served at a movie theater. I’d say it was worth about $12.

Advice; update your current menu on this google listing to show accurate pricing, put more meat in it if you’re going to charge that much and ask how we would like it cooked, don’t just give us a well done burger. GREAT place- picked up burgers to-go and arrived about 1:35pm. Very busy, the server/cashier very nice, I think she could have used someone to help her. She took orders, took care of the drink machine, delivered orders to tables and was the cashier! I bet she did a few other things as well!! She warned me it would be about 20 minutes and it was, large groups came in after me. There are several outdoor & indoor tables, which were mostly filled- everyone seemed very happy. Food is great, the quality you don't mind waiting a little bit for! Not a place to come if you want to eat light! This restaurant could break even the most resolved dieter! Tempting variety of burgers available- some with bacon, BBQ sauce, cheddar cheese, avacado, chili, mushrooms, grilled onions & more. Burgers come with a large portion of fries. I believe there were other sandwiches on the menu besides burgers, also noticed ice cream & shakes available. An adorable little girl was quite excited about ordering a chocolate shake while I was waiting for our order! Definitely recommend...

1 of my favorite all-time restaurants in town! By far the best burgers in Leadville. I come here usually 1-2 times per week for lunch, and Wild Bill's never disappoints!! Their burgers have a delicious, homemade taste to them, & you can really taste the love and care put into each one!! The fries and ice cream are also fantastic, far better than any chain fast food burger place.

The atmosphere here is also just absolutely unmatched. It's very cozy and makes me feel right at home (I grew up in Texas). The owner is also an absolute sweetheart who truly cares about her customers. She always has a friendly, inviting attitude and has even offered complimentary drinks to me before for minor inconveniences that I honestly didn't even mind.

I also appreciate that the restaurant has never really been too crowded when I visit majority of the time. It makes it the perfect relaxing spot for me to get some good lunch...
