Last year, Leesburg had more snow than it had ever had in decades. My good friend Alejandro and I were enjoying a cold January night when, out of nowhere, flurries of snow starting whirling at us from all directions. The cold winter's wind was unforgiving and the snow battered us relentlessly. We were hopelessly lost, and it came to the point where we weren't sure if we were going to make it. To make things even worse, we saw a huge beast of man, trudging around in the snow slowly following us. We figured it was a snow monster. Alejandro fell into the snow and muttered, "Go on without me..." and a tear rolled out of his eye and froze on his cheek. But in the distance I saw a faint light, it came from the intersection near Safeway and Roy Rodgers. I lifted Alejandro onto my back and carried him to the light. It was Wishbone Rotisserie. A jolly-faced Mexican man pulled us in, and before I could even mutter a word out of my frost-bitten mouth, he was nursing us back to health with some Spicy Steak Sandwiches and Fried Yucca...It might have been the best food I've ever had in my entire life. Alejandro and I were about to order some more Buffalo Chicken Quesadillas when the door swung open. It was the snow monster. Alejandro spilled his delicious yellow sauce in pure terror. Alejandro and I gave each other one last glance before (what seemed like) our inevitable death. But when the snow monster drew back his hood, it was none other than Caleb Hilgartner, the kicker of our high school football team and coolest kid in the whole school. His stern eyes glanced to and fro across the restaurant until our eyes met. "You eat at Wishbone too? I thought I was the only one!" The rest of the night was spent laughing and telling tales of forgotten times around Buffalo Chicken Quesidillas, Spicy Steak Sandwiches, Yellow and White sauce, Fried Yucca, Half Rotisseries, and Mt. Dew. It was the greatest night of my life. Thank...
