As my daughter was beginning her junior year, we both felt overwhelmed by college applications, SAT/ACT, and everything in between. That's when I found out about Loudoun College Counseling (LCC). Their resources, counseling, services, and expertise seemed too good to be true. Looking back now, a year later, LCC exceeded all of our expectations, their services are outstanding and were absolutely worth the investment. I could not imagine having a child navigate the college application process without the expertise of LCC.

Erica handled every question, concern, idea, and challenge with the utmost professionalism and expertise. Whether it was unraveling the complexities of the admissions process, navigating the selection of colleges to apply to, meeting crucial deadlines, showcasing interest in potential schools, tackling essays, understanding the intricacies related to describing sports and clubs or securing letters of recommendation, Erica provided unwavering guidance every step of the way. By the time her senior year commenced, my daughter was fully equipped to submit her applications with confidence and readiness.

Update (April 11, 2025): I'm thrilled to share that my daughter has been accepted into her dream school! She dedicated herself to her studies and achieved outstanding grades. My daughter and I firmly believe that her acceptance at her dream school would not have been possible without Erica's expertise, leadership, and support. The school accepts less than 15% of out-of-state applicants and received a record number of applications this past.

We loved working with Erica at Loudoun College Counseling. This is our third child headed to college but our first time working with Erica and hands down, the best experience of them all. Our son completed all of his applications on his own with Erica's guidance and minimal parental involvement, which is exactly what we needed. Even after going through this process with our two older kids, Erica taught us new things about college admissions, and it is also so helpful that she has many years of experience as a high school counselor.

Our son started working with her at the end of his junior year. She created a detailed, organized plan of action for him that included a timeline with meeting dates/times, due dates, and clear objectives. He met with Erica on his own and left with action items in preparation for application deadlines. Erica provided updates after each meeting, including a summary of what they went over, next steps and action items. She kept him on track and he completed his essays and applications ahead of college deadlines.

Even after applications were submitted, Erica continues to be a valuable source of information: answering last-minute questions, sharing scholarship opportunities, and just being a positive, calm influence during a stressful time. Excited to share that he received an acceptance from his first choice as well as other offers of admission and she remains in contact about the next steps. Erica at Loudoun College Counseling was such a blessing to my son (and to me!) as we went through the college application process. She worked with him every step of the way to complete everything he needed to apply to college - ideas for where to apply, she walked him through the entire common application process, essay ideation and editing support - literally everything! Nick went to each session with Erica on his own and he really embraced the process. Aside from a couple of texts to check in, I was completely uninvolved. As a busy working mom, it took so much pressure off of me to be able to hand that task over to a true professional. Erica was incredibly friendly, encouraging, professional, and so easy to work with. My son bonded with her immediately. She knows how to take all aspects of the college application process - from the little things to the big things - and make it perfect. Nick started his senior year of high school with all of that behind him and ready to apply to college! While her services are not inexpensive, I promise you they are worth every penny. You get what you pay for and it was an investment in Nick that was well worth the cost. I am confident we did all we could do to set him up for admission to his top college choices.
