Dairy Queen — Restaurant in Lewes

This is a very busy Dairy Queen especially during the summer. The business is basically run by kids without any adult support. Me and my wife go down to this DQ almost every night with slight variations in the order. The order takers make mistakes all the time, then when you get your order and it is wrong they look up at a screen and say no the order right. tonight I order a small vanilla cone with chocolate dip, a pup cup and a medium chocolate cone. Instead of a medium chocolate cone they give me a vanilla cone. I finally grew tired of not getting what I paid for. When I told them I ordered Chocolate they look up at the screen and said I didn't. Then I told them you always get the order wrong and they took the cone back and gave me a vanilla cone chocolate dipped. I then told them all I ordered was a medium chocolate cone. So they took it back and gave me the correct cone very nastily. Also, during the summer the cashier (that is always playing with a water bottle} has not given me change after placing my order. Dairy Queen is a great Ice Cream. However, I would never leave a tip in the bucket by the Cashier since you never know what your going to get when you receive your order. I have given tips many times only to be disappointed when I left...

We had three visits to this location this week. Two to order ice cream and one to pick up two oce cream cakes for a birthday.

The stores front-end freezer was broken, but they still had plenty of cakes available when we walked in and ordered. The ice cream cakes weren't anything crazy but exactly what you would expect and well worth it. One cookies and cream the other cookie dough.

The two visits we made to order ice cream in cones and cups were polar opposites, but somehow the same.

The first visit, we ordered extremely quickly and joined the crowd waiting to pick up their orders.

The second visit, we waited a while in line to order but received our items fairly quickly.

In both cases, the staff that looked to have an average age of about 16 was absolutely on point. They were friendly with zero mistakes of all the orders I saw and moving things along at a good pace. Even when they had a machine go down in the middle of making the order, they adjusted to the mishap and continued on getting things done.

Understand, it's the busy summer season, and you will likely have something of a wait. It is what it is but these people work well to keep...

I'm going to be perfectly, brutally honest in this review. We're all human here (presumably) which means we all know that ice cream is by far the peak of humanity's cunning ingenuity combined with our brain's obsession with that sweet sweet dopamine-releasing chemical known as sugar. Now that having been said, even low-tier ice cream is great, you can't mess up ice cream. NOW THAT having been said, what do you think truly amazing, astounding, planet-alteringly good ice cream is capable of? Unfortunately I'm not here to tell you the answer to that question, because alas, the words to do so would fail to adequately capture the magic, nay, the phantasmagorical experience such ice cream would provide to simple creatures such as you and I.
