Dear Harvest Tide Team,

I recently visited your restaurant to celebrate a birthday with a party of four. We were excited to try a new place and were greeted professionally by the hostess and promptly seated. However, the overall experience unfortunately did not meet our expectations.

While our initial server began taking our drink order, a male server interrupted and informed us that the table was his, which created an awkward start to our evening. As someone with a strong background in food and beverage and experience in restaurant management, I found the situation unprofessional and uncomfortable.

Our drinks arrived one at a time rather than together, which left us sitting and waiting awkwardly. While the cocktails were very good, the presentation and pacing could have been better.

Our appetizer arrived in a timely manner, but there was a significant wait for our entrées. When the four New York strip steaks arrived, they were disappointing—dry and not cooked to the temperatures we had requested. I ordered my steak medium well, but it arrived medium rare. The other steaks at the table also missed the mark in terms of doneness. Additionally, the steaks were overly fatty.

On a positive note, the truffle mashed potatoes were excellent, and again, the cocktails were well made. However, service continued to falter. We waited a long time for our dessert, and even longer for our dinner plates to be cleared. No coffee was offered with dessert, and overall, we felt overlooked—especially when observing that tables ordering wine bottles received noticeably more attentive service.

We had high hopes for a special evening and were disappointed to leave feeling underwhelmed, especially with a final bill of $400.

Thank you for taking the time to read this feedback. I’m hopeful it will be received constructively, as we would love to give Harvest Tide another try in the future under better...

Just when you think been to one steakhouse been to em all, that couldn't be further from the truth.

Coming in town for the evening we had our sights set on a non typical low end beach dinner.

Harvest Tide was a cute first impression with greenery along the walkway leading towards the entryway decor.

We were quickly seated at a table and my son was knocked out in my arms. Our waitress came by and introduced herself advising she would be with us shortly.

Within a few moments another staff member, Jasmine, quickly offered to relocate us to the booth space and even set up pillows for our son to lay down. This small and kind gesture completely changed our evening for the better.

Food was not a disappointment at all. Characuterie board was a balance of good flavors and made for a light fare appetizer. We hoped to share the Sea Bass and NY Strip entrees however the Sea Bass was not available and we opted to still get the meal with the substitute Halibut available.

NY Strip was cooked to perfection, truffle sauce did not disappoint, and the truffle potatoes were delicious.

Halibut while not a favorite of mines, had a great balance of flavors with the vegetables and our side of Brussel sprouts complimented the fish as well.

The kids portion of chicken tenders and fries was definitely a great size and the tenders were cooked with a good taste and crisp.

When we were eating my son was drinking his apple juice and the restaurant only had the cardboard like straws most places use now. At this point the straw became a wet soggy unusable straw.

Jasmine yet again with a quick eye, stopped by the table and kindly offered the replacement straw before we could even ask. The little attention to details really help make dining experiences memorable.

Go check out Harvest Tide and be sure to ask for Jasmine, cause...

Went here with my wife on July 1, 2025 for their Tuesday steak night special. We have eaten here once before, sat outside. With the hot weather we opted this time to sit inside and we really liked the experience. The dining area is large, open, white cloth tablecloths, cut flowers in a small vase on the table- very nice touches, very nice ambience. Our server, Justine, was very pleasant and very efficient. A delight. The dinner special was two salads, two steaks- 6 oz sirloin, two sides and one dessert for $85 per couple. We opted not to upgrade to the larger filet or strips and we were glad we did not, as we got so much food! For salads we chose the modern take on the Caesar salad and it was very good, just the right size. Out steaks were cooked to order, and had a very good salty and seasoned crust- just the way we like it (unlike 1776 on the highway). The chimichurri pecorino fries were very tasty. The veggies were excellent! Grilled green beans had a delightful mild smoky flavor. The Brussel sprouts were also delicious. Dessert we shared was the coconut cake. My wife is a baker, an she was in heaven. It was a huge piece, very moist, excellent whipped cream frosting, definitely home made. We chose the wine of the moment, for $8 per glass, and had a decent Barbera, which went well with the steaks. Total tab before tip was $85 + $16 = $101. So overall, the ambience was excellent, service excellent, the food excellent, and all at a very fair price, so an unbelievably good value. We will be retuning, for sure! Kudos to Harvest Tide...

Your first greeted with an outside seating Pavilion. Here it would appear that dogs are welcome in this area. It is outside and as we all know the beach area in Delaware is Superdog friendly. Inside your next stop is at a little greeting station where you then are seated. The atmosphere is somewhat of a mix of Farmhouse meets Elegance. We sat at the long Chef's Table. This enabled us to see some of what was going on in the kitchen. You actually got to see more of the food stylist doing her thing. Her duties were a literal piece of art. She handled each dish cleaning it of any splatters and making it beautiful. We got the sweet potato soup and Rosemary rolls to start. We also got steak, and truffle potatoes. All was pretty fabulous. The taste was fantastic. The presentation was stellar. The wait staff was attentive. You should know going into this restaurant it is a higher end restaurant. So you can expect depending on what you're ordering $50 up per person. We enjoyed our experience.

came here for thanksgiving and the set up was cozy but it look quite a long time to order drinks and get the once they were ordered specially considering we were just 3 and had a reservation. the food was fine but nothing that really wow’d me considering the price and a steak house claim. that being said, it was a buffet style set up for thanksgiving so everything was somewhat a standard cook and menu. the corn croquets were pretty dry- could of at least used an aioli side- and considering how popular corn is in delaware it was a little shocking that was how they decided to prepare it. the tables were a bit cramped and the sun was directly in our eyes for half of dinner-some curtains or diffusers would really help this time of year. overall i would of expected a bit better service, and table spacing set up for the price but i had very high expectations. the staff was friendly and we still had a nice time. i’d like to see what it would be like non buffet/non holiday set up here.
